The room was quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Within walking distance to the convention center and many restaurants.

Absolutely adorable hotel right in the middle of Gaslamp district. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was so easy. And the pineapple ???? motif was adorable. We loved the concept of utilizing the little stuffed doggy to promote funds toward animal rescue missions. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I stayed for 6 days attending a conference.
The location is very nice, close to the convention center and there are a lot of restaurants and stores. The staff are very kind and helpful.
There are two major issues during my stay. The first is the WiFi problem. This is the first time I encountered a WiFi problem after so many years of travel experience. I suspect they are using some modems from the 1980s, extremely slow.
The second is the wood floor. You can feel and hear very clearly if someone above is walking.
Otherwise, it's a cozy hotel.

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel in San Diego and was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were spacious, beds incredibly comfortable, and the availability of toiletries and amenities was excellent. The highlight was the convenient bike rental, allowing me to reach the conference center in just 5 minutes. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, making check-in and check-out a breeze. The snacks and drinks were delightful, and I felt safe and secure in downtown and Gaslamp throughout my stay due to the convenient location of the hotel. I would definitely return for a longer stay if I have the chance to visit San Diego again. Highly recommended!

Decent hotel in the lively Gaslamp area. Stayed for 9 nights and staff interaction varied from ok to excellent. Allocated a bigger room on check-in which was appreciated. Only issue was with the lift. One morning on route to a breakfast reservation the lift closed but wouldn't move. Had to hit the emergency button and ended up being trapped. Took a while to resolve and was pretty terrifying. Managed to get out but the only member of staff was housekeeping who only spoke Spanish. Really wanted to find the stairs but couldn't due to the language barrier. Risked the escalator again which thankfully was ok. Did get a sorry and was asked for our room number. I thought this might have been to add some sort of good will gesture for the incident but this was not the case. So in summary beware of the lift / elevator!!

We had a great experience at our stay in San Diego. Perfect location for downtown and to see a Padres game. The front desk employees were all very friendly and helpful.
Next stop Stay Pineapple San Francisco!

This is the first pet friendly hotel we stood at and the only one I'll be staying from now on. The staff is incredibly nice. The beds are super comfy. The room is a little small, but you can walk all around downtown at any time. We used the bikes and had so much fun!!

Second time here and even more amazing! First time in November and second time in April! Waking distance for food and hanging out. Bikes are free to use and we explored each day! We will definitely come back and continue the “Naked Experience”

We booked Staypineapple Hotel Z off of Hotel Tonight last minute to go to a Padres game. We had no idea what to expect but this hotel exceeded our expectations. 1. Being a dog friendly hotel the hotel was extremely clean and never heard any dog noise. 2. There is a bar next door and I can’t believe we never heard any noise. The only noise we heard was the exception of a loud car. 3. This hotel was walking distance to Petco Park and tons of food options and nightlife. 4. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They had some great recommendations for pregame drinks and food, after game food and breakfast recommendations. 5. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I loved having my own blanket! We really liked how the hotel provided us with a reusable water bottle, shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided in the shower. We didn’t have enough time to try out our robes so it looks like we have to come back again. The only negative is there is no parking onsite, but at least the parking was close and was actually cheaper than what other hotels charge for onsite parking. With all this being said we will definitely be back again to stay here!!! See you again Staypineapple Hotel Z.

We stayed here five years ago on our wedding night. We came back again to celebrate our anniversary and recieved such a warm welcome! The team set up a beautiful little welcome gift for us, and an employee who checked us in five years earlier made sure our stay was just as beautiful as the first time. We will always come back to this hotel.

This hotel is just okay, but it’s definitely overpriced. First of all, you can hear the people on the floor above you stomping around as if you were in an apartment so if you do stay here make sure you are on the 3rd floor. The front desk girl lacked customer service skills and seemed like she was mad to be there. There’s also no parking which is an inconvenience. The only cool things about this place is the location and the pet friendliness.

Rooms immaculate, communal area immaculate, staff wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Beds were very comfortable. Lovely touch having the water (sparkling & still) and coffee available in the lobby. Found the location to be excellent to do and see what we wanted. Would definitely stay again and most definitely recommend.

I work for startups and travel a lot with a limited budget in some cases.

This is an amazing hotel for the price. I felt clean, the beds were very comfortable with European style duvets. The staff was friendly and they offer complimentary drinks upon arrival.

Great idea if you’re looking for a place with a comfortable bed and a quick shower.
