There was a mismatch with our group booking when group leaders were put in shared rooms with strangers but reception solved the issue helpfully.

The staff signing me in at reception were friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean, comfortable and more than adequate for my stay.

It is located relatively near to a long stay car park under the shopping centre, and a short walk from the major attractions.

Very good price for what you get, and as hostels the best part is that you had toilet inside the rooms. That is good. Also the bar and food are nice. The reception is open 24 hs

Hostal con buena ubicación pero para ese precio tienes un hotel en condiciones. Cama y almohada incomoda, el baño y la ducha estan por separado en vez de estar todo en una misma habitación. Te dan solo una toalla por persona y en nuestro caso en malas condiciones. Tienes que dejar 5 libras para que te den un secador cuando tendria que estar ya en la habitación. No hay mesitas de noche por lo que es muy incomodo a la hora de cargar dispositivos electronicos. Solo hay 3 perchas en la habitación. Una de las luces no funciona. Para ducharte tienes que cerrar la puerta porque si sale el vapor de la ducha puede saltar la alarma de incencios. No hay productos de aseo. En la cafeteria nos cobraron de diferente manera las 3 veces que fuimos a por cafe. Las dos primeras como clientes externos del hotel y la ultima nos ofrecieron otro precio por ser huespedes cosa que no nos indicaron la primera vez que consumimos. Sinceramente solo esta bien por la ubicación pero por 100 libras la noche nos parece un autentico robo cuando hay hoteles por el mismo precio con mejores condiciones. El wifi en la habitacion no va tienes que bajar a la recepción para conectarte. Sin duda no volveremos a este hotel.

Really nice staff, very helpful, the rooms are really clean and they have a pretty nice section of breakfast. Located right in the centre of Edinburgh so it is only a short tram ride to the shops or landmarks, definitely will be staying here in the future again :)

The Edinburgh Central Youth Hostel is a nice hostel that is very central in location (Given the name, lol) but the reception was lovely and we had a great room. It was a good place to have a rest after the hectic travelling and I liked that the rooms were of good value. There are a lot of places to visit that are nearby and it's great for public transport too!
