Lovely stay at Albyn Townhouse from Wednesday to Sunday!

We really enjoyed the charming house, our big room and the neighborhood* itself. Lydie really created a hidden gem (and more) and has some nice insider tips, so don't waste your time and book here!

*A school is around the corner, so better drink a pint or two more during the week to have a better sleep. ????

This has been an amazing stay for me and my fiancé. Lydie is amazing and made us feel very welcome and she was incredibly helpful. The room was nice, the view was good and the shower was amazing. It is definitely far from city centre, but we enjoyed our walks. Lydie even recommended a route through the park which was perfect and we took that every single time afterwards.

I have been to Edinburgh before where I went to the Waldorf hotel. Of course it's two completely different experiences, but if you want to experience the coziness and the true experience of Edinburgh, I would recommend Albyn Townhouse 10 out of 10 times!

Great place to stay-lovely well maintained house, quiet road, beautiful rooms, great host, secure parking and a short walk into town through a nice area. Was perfect for a long weekend. Would recommend and will certainly be back!

Tipptopp, sehr süßes, gar nicht mal kleines Zimmer (wir hatten #3), bestens gepflegt, gute Lage , mit dem Bus nur wenige Stationen in die City. Edinburgh übrigens auch eine super Stadt für ein Wochenende…

So ein schönes Haus. Die Inhaberin Lydie betreibt ihre Unterkunft mit viel Liebe und Herzblut und sorgt dafür, dass sich ihre Gäste wohl fühlen, als würde man bei einer Freundin übernachten. Die Lage ist perfekt, schön ruhig und trotzdem erreicht man das Zentrum entspannt zu Fuß, in der Nähe gibt es viele gute Restaurants. Wir kommen gerne wieder und buchen das nächste Mal auf jeden Fall direkt, ohne Zwischenhändler.

I stayed here for two nights from Thursday 28th until Saturday 30th September 2023.
Prior to my stay, I received excellent communication from Lydie- the fabulous owner of this wonderful townhouse.
I hadn’t stayed in Edinburgh before and was apprehensive about my visit to somewhere so unfamiliar, but immediately I felt at ease due to Lydie’s warm, welcoming and friendly nature.
The townhouse itself is immaculate and impeccably furnished, with no detail overlooked. I stayed in a superior room so can only comment on this, but the dolce gusto coffee machine and rainfall shower were very decadent features which I fully took advantage of.
I found the rooms were quiet and all guests were courteous of one another - the townhouse was fully booked at the time of my stay. The bed was very comfy, the location was great and Wi-Fi worked perfectly.
I can hand on heart say this was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed and will 100% be booking again if I ever find myself back in Edinburgh. I can’t rate the townhouse and Lydie any more highly.
Thank you Lydie for your excellent hospitality. It really shows you put your heart and sole into the business.

My husband and I loved our stay at Albyn Townhouse! From the moment we stepped through the front door, Lydie made us feel so welcome and cared for. She provided us with a map and detailed directions of the best way to get to the Royal Mile, offered recommendations for what to do, and was so kind in asking us about our trip so far and offering tips for exploring the city. Her warmth and enthusiasm were truly an asset that set our stay apart! On top of that, the room was exceptionally comfortable and well-kept. Also, highly recommend ordering the breakfast-in-bed at least one morning of your stay. It was absolutely delicious and so luxurious to enjoy the full spread in the comfort of our room!
One thing to keep in mind is that Albyn Townhouse is outside the main tourist part of the city. It wasn't a problem for my husband and I, as we enjoyed the 20-30 minute walk through a lovely park each morning. But if you're looking for super quick access to the Royal Mile and other tourist attractions, Albyn Townhouse may be a bit far from the hub.

Albyn Townhouse è un b&b incantevole...situato in una posizione tranquilla, ideale per raggiungere il centro storico con una passeggiata rilassante attraverso i meadows...originale l'arredamento, fiabesco direi, belle camere silenziose, letto molto confortevole e Lydie la padrona di casa sempre disponibile...superlativo!

An absolute gem. The location is amazing, well connected by public transport to any area of interest in the city. The host is amazing -- friendly, respectful and caring. Rooms are kept squeaky clean, they are generously sized and contain more than enough amenities. I would highly recommend staying there.

We spent 10 days in Scotland. We were very well welcomed everywhere we stayed but Lydie was the best host. So caring and welcoming.
Room was perfectly cleaned, spacious and we had a very nice view on the city.
Regarding the location, quiet street and close to the center (20-30 min by walk).
If you are looking for an accommodation in Edinburgh Albyn Townhouse is the right place to go!

Had a wonderful stay in the Albyn. Lydie is wonderful and made our experience that much nicer. Property is beautiful, great location with plenty to do close by. And our room was fantastic, comfortable, quiet and very clean.

Bardzo przytulne miejsce. Sympatyczna właścicielka, która sama je prowadzi (co widać w też w stylu urządzenia pomieszczeń - sporo detali i drobiazgów). Położenie na końcu uliczki - zaciszne, ale też trzeba dojść kawałek do jakiejś komunikacji.
