En plein cœur de la vieille ville, dans le retrait d'une cour intérieure, l'Hôtel du Vin offre un environnement intimiste. Quarante chambres s'articulent autour d'un restaurant gastronomique, d'un salon à whisky et d'un fumoir à cigare, formant un cadre de vie raffiné, propice à la relaxation et aux plaisirs des sens. Dans les chambres, la pierre apparente s'allie aux boiseries et les tapisseries élégantes à une literie luxueuse en coton égyptien. Les proportions agréables de l'édifice aménagé avec chaleur et élégance - fauteuils en cuir, bibliothèques, lumières tamisées - font que l'on se sent ici chez soi. Le tout à deux pas de la vie nocturne de Old Town.

Edit 2024 - not such a great spot for a wine tasting, the event was overbooked and the room far too small.

Great event, food really good quality, service pre and post dinner fantastic.
Stayed in the Lombard suite which was roomy, clean and well stocked. Only minor criticisms are that the Lombard suite is quite dark and the ceiling lighting is not good. This room would be transformed if the main chandelier was swapped for spotlights. Additionally the toiletries provided in the room were of 'fruity' scents, which for me, personally, did not smell great. Other than that, a great stay overall
Cleanliness - our room, the bar, restaurant and reception were all immaculately presented. 5/5
Facilities - the room was well spec'd throughout. Nice touch with the Bose Bluetooth speaker system. However there was an issue with laundry, so fewer towels than normal and only one bath robe between the two of us. 4/5
Sleep - despite it's central location our room had excellent triple glazing and traffic noise was a murmur. Bed and bedding was excellent. 5/5
Breakfast - Good choice of hot and cold food. It was good. 4/5
In short, a fabulously turned out hotel, well located to the royal mile.
