BANGOR CASTLE WALLED GARDEN

Open from the end of March to the beginning of November, the Bangor Castle Walled Green offers a perfect place to unwind and take a moment to relax with beautiful surroundings. Built in the 1840s by the Ward Family for personal purposes, the Victorian Bangor Castle still houses a vegetable, fruit and flower section on its estate. Occupying 1.5 acres of land, the Walled Garden is divided into quadrants, including a flower, herb and topiary garden, a "kitchen" and swamp garden. During their stroll, visitors can in addition of the myriad of plants admire pieces of art sculpture displayed throughout the garden alleys.
