Vaste complexe en plein centre de Kasane, ce grand lodge bénéficie de plus de 400 m d’accès direct au fleuve. Il propose différents types d'hébergement : des villas tout confort pour 4 à 6 personnes, des suites « lune de miel », des suites de luxe et de simples chambres standard. Ainsi que son nom le suggère, le lodge dispose d’une jetée privée, de laquelle s’effectue l’embarquement pour les balades. Pour ceux qui préfèrent se relaxer, le bar est l’endroit tout désigné pour observer le coucher du soleil au-dessus du fleuve. Restauration sur place. Piscine.

However, the service from some of the staff was really bad, especially in the main restaurant. It's potentially due to a lack of training but really basic issues. For example one night we were having a bbq outside. There was a lot of thunder and lightning, and we asked to take our food and eat under the covers of the restaurant. We were told this wasn't possible. It then started raining and we asked the same, to be told that we could go to our rooms but not use the restaurant which was about a 50m walk away. Eventually we just sat ourselves down. The staff were more concerned about ensuring that they had our room details to charge the room for the meal than the well being of guests.
Also there is no drinks menu at all (in a 4 star hotel), so you have no idea what you can order, or the price. Similarly when they have a buffet there is no info readily available on how much it costs.
`Other little things as well - for example just a lot of attention to detail on cleaning common areas, checking in on guests etc.
It almost feels like the hotel is being targeted for group tours and actively ignoring the needs of actual individual paying guests. It definitely was below the standard that I expected given price, hotel star rating and some of the recent review.
