Stayed here for the second part of our Zanzibar honeymoon. I would say it is a 3-4 star hotel. We did one of the huge suites with a private pool - it was huge, amazing pool and private space, however the bed was really hard. A few minor maintenance issues - didn’t have water for a few hours one morning, a few blackouts during the day and in the middle of the night. No phone in the room which we thought was really weird, so had to go order room service or any needs you had to walk to go find staff. Food was 4 stars - tried all 3 meals here - all delicious with lots of options. Service was pretty disappointing, staff is all very young and weren’t attentive, seemed more interested in being on their phones than attending to guests. Cocktails were hit or miss. Main pool and beach are nice. We also had a great massage here.

The Zanzibari est très bien situé sur le côté Est de Nungwi, au calme, plus sauvage et authentique que le côté Ouest.
Route d’accès cabossée mais comme partout dans l’île dès qu’on sort de la route principale bitumée.
L’hôtel en général n’est pas tout récent mais c’est néanmoins un très bel établissement. Nous logions dans une des villas avec piscine privée. La chambre est un peu vieillotte mais spacieuse et nous n’avons manqué de rien. Juste nous avions la lumière de la plage privée qui ne fonctionnait pas, on l’a signalé mais pas réparé (peut-être une incompréhension).
En revanche, l’extérieur, terrasse, piscine et plage privée est merveilleuse, on peut descendre sur la plage directement.
J’ai vu quelques commentaires disant que la plage ou baignade n’était pas pratiquante, c’est faux! Chaussures aquatiques pour les oursins et aucun problème, peu de démarcheurs.

Ce magnifique Hotel niché au nord de Zanibar est un bijou! Un grand merci à Mishani, Souleiman, Rhahul pour leur accueil chaleureux et pour avoir été à l'ècoute tout au long de notre séjour. Merci a Kheir pour les petites attentions du matin lors de nos petits déjeuners. Nous espérons revenir bientot !

The Zanzibari is a wonderful resort. The food is delicious and all made to order. The hotel is surround by beautiful tropical plants and flowers. Rooms are very nice with large beds, great air conditioning, hot showers, and reliable Wi-Fi throughout the whole resort. Staff are very welcoming and kind. The beach area has swings, hammocks and dozens of lounge chairs as well as a great pool. The only drawback is that the tides change all throughout the day, sometimes the water is too far out to swim and other times it’s high and splashes hard against the rocks. There are also a lot of sea urchins on the ocean floor but the hotel does provide water shoes free of charge to all guests. We mostly swam at the pool and walked along the beach during low tide so we were ok with that. The hotel also has a spa with great massages and is within a 10 min walk of the Baraka Aquarium where you can swim with sea turtles which was definitely a highlight for us. Overall, we loved our stay here and thought it was a great deal!

I was in Zanzibari with a friend and it's a Marvellous Hotel, there is the swimming pool, sea and beach just in front of our bedroom...going to sleep and waking up with the sea 5 metres from us.. All is perfect:welcoming, cleaning, service, fresh food cooked daily by the restaurant on the beach ( real fish of the day ,vegetables, meat)... In the bedroom we found flowers decoration , AC on, coffe, tea, water and all comforts included... is a Paradise in a Paradise!

Beautiful hotel with friendly and attentive staff. We had a great time staying with them. The private beach is very calm and peaceful. The only downside is that it can be a little hard to get to other parts of nungwi unless you take a taxi.

Helaas geen goede ervaring bij dit hotel. Onderstaand een opsomming:

De eerste toegewezen kamer had een zeer oude badkamer die bovendien niet schoon was.
Na overleg met de receptie een andere kamer gekregen met een weliswaar opgeknapte, maar nog steeds zeer middelmatige kamer.
Hier werkte de douche niet naar behoren; ofwel zeer warm, ofwel zeer koud. Een comfortabele temperatuur was niet regelbaar.
Dit aangegeven bij de receptie, maar helaas geen adequate actie ondernomen. De kraan is half gerepareerd, waarna er geen water meer uit de kraan bij de badkamer wastafel kwam. De temperatuur bleef niet instelbaar. Dit aangegeven bij de receptie, maar er is geen actie op ondernomen. Voor het aan de kamer uitgegeven bedrag verwacht je een zeer nette kamer met goed werkende douche.

Geen ontbijtbuffet, maar een á la carte ontbijt, dat zeer inconsistent was. Soms werd er wel vruchtensap aangeboden, soms niet. Ook de porties waren per dag zeer verschillend. Ik heb meerdere keren een mandje met brood extra gevraagd omdat de porties gewoon niet groot genoeg waren.

Een tour geboekt bij het hotel, die men vervolgens vergeten was te regelen. Vervolgens is de tour nog wel geregeld op dezelfde dag. Hierdoor wel meer dan een uur extra moeten wachten in de ochtend. Erg vervelende discussie gehad over de prijs, die ineens hoger zou zijn.

Kortom: een erg teleurstellende ervaring, op zich vriendelijk personeel maar problemen worden niet opgelost en de kamer was ver beneden peil voor een kamer van ca. $ 200,- per nacht.

Er werd ons het volle pond voor de kamer, de excursie en de genuttigde drankjes in rekening gebracht.

Zeer onprofessioneel hotel dat ik helaas niet kan aanbevelen. Wij voelden ons niet ontzorgd, maar hadden eerder het gevoel dat we overal zelf achteraan moesten zonder dat er een adequate oplossing kwam.

P.S. in andere negatieve beoordeling wordt vaak door het hotel gereageerd dat alles inmiddels is opgelost. Onze ervaring is helaas anders, knelpunten die in eerdere beoordelingen aangegeven zijn worden helaas niet aangepakt.

The Zanzibari had the best restaurant and kindest staff of our entire stay in Zanzibar. We fully enjoyed our three days in this beach resort and warmly recommend it. Located directly on the beach, offers possibility of long walks on the sandy coast when tide is low and is close to beautiful sand stripes where to take a swim in light green waters.

Nous avons réservé cet hôtel pour notre lune de miel.
Nous sommes rester 10 jours, nous avons choisi de séjourner dans une chambre avec vue sur l’océan , piscine et terrasse privative .

Nous avons sélectionné ce type de chambre pour son côté intimiste et indépendant, parfaitement respecté.
La vue est incroyable , il est possible d’aller se baigner depuis la chambre , malgré les rochers présents mais non handicapant , à marrée basse ou en marrée montante .
Attention aux oursins ( comme partout sur l’île) .

La nourriture est bonne , les rations généreuses , peut être un manque de choix à force au bout de 10 jours nous avions fatalement fait le tour , c’est un détail .
Les cocktails sont bien réalisés.
Petit déjeuner salé / sucré, fruits , jus de fruits frais .

Sur la propreté rien à dire , femme de ménage tous les jours. Elle a même pris le soin de nous laver notre linge sale l’avant notre départ sans demande de notre part .

Quelques vétusté à relever sur la douche, l tuyauterie .

Le personnel est d’une grande sympathie, agréable, gentil , discret et très prévenant .
Nous avons pu organiser un dîner privé sur la terrasse de notre chambre face à la mer.
Mise en route de la Clim dans la chambre lors de vos absences pour apprécier la fraîcheur en arrivant .
Le service vaut le tarif de cette chambre .

Ils ont été de bon conseil pour nos excursions, trajets taxi, transfert.

Le complexe en lui même est calme, pas très loin du centre de nungwi ( possible à pied)
Et de la plage de nungwi .
Idéal pour des personnes voulant du calme et de la tranquillité, kids friendly .

Merci pour ce merveilleux moment, une lune de miel magique.

I’ll start with the downside:
-You can’t swim on the beach at the hotel.
- We had some issues with our shower but they fixed it fast.
- The room was little
-The hotel is a little bit far from the local restaurant, market e.c.t

Why 4 stars: the hospitality they offered. But mostly thanks to Salum, Nzori and Suleyman . Make sure to get in touch with them when you are at the hotel. They will take care of you. Transfer, activities, good talks, guide and so much more. You will not get disappointed.

The pool area at the hotel is super clean and nice. The view is outstanding!

4 Sterne verdient es zu recht , sehr freundlich und aufmerksames Personal, das Essen ist gut und die gesamte Anlage sehr sauber und gepflegt. Gehen auf die Wünsche der Gäste ein ( Unsrer Honeymoon Special Dinner war absolut genial, Massage waren auch ein Traum)! Ruhiges und schönes Hotel ! Zufahrt ist etwas buckelig aber das kennt man ja , African Massage inclusive! Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen!

Bebek dostu butik otel. Zanzibar koşullarında, temiz ve güvenli bir oteldi. 2 gün standart 3 gün de suit odasında kaldık, ocak ayında kaldık. 2 kısımda gayet temiz ve genişti. Bu otelin tek dezavantajı kendi sahili olsa da, git gelden denize girmeye hiç uygun değil, bir kumsalı da yok, hafif kayalıktan iniliyor. Bu durumda cocuklara uygun değil. Aksiyonların daha cok oldugu Kendwa ya yürüme değil ama kısa bir taksi ile gidiliyor.
