Absolutely the best to be with nature!!! Beautiful place to camp, the marina store has all your supplies and in the morning they have breakfast burritos also for sale 10$ but very well worth it! Bring the family , please respect nature and pick up after yourself so others can continue to enjoy.

Really nice place , lots of manatees and wildlife ,great staff , and be prepared for mosquitos. I went on march no mosquitos at all, but I know they are the worst part of the park ,use long sleeves and pants, and enjoy. I ll definitely come back again .

We camped here for 2 nights the last week of March - the weather was perfect and there were practically no mosquitoes! This was our first visit to the Everglades and we are happy we spent a few days camping at this location. Sitting at your tent and seeing spoonbills and ibis flying over is pretty great! Also, close to the Flamingo Marina where you can rent kayaks (or join free Ranger Kayak tours if in season) or see the manatees bobbing around or the resident Osprey flying around. Facilities were good and clean. I do think 2 days is the most I would plan to stay here, unless you plan to go on several kayak/boating trips.

Time here was fantastic. It is so peaceful, plenty of wildlife is all around, there's a shop nearby for basic goods, we met many other lovely camp-goers, and the bathrooms are quite clean considering the situation.

*there is no service in this spot though so be prepared not to use your phone

We had an incredible time during our stay at Flamingo. You can’t beat the beautiful palm trees and sunset views. If you have the chance, take a few minutes to walk on the Coastal Prarie trail located behind the campsites.

The showers a spacious and clean. Great little spot!

A fantastic place, set in the heart of the Everglades. There are no rooms (hence no stars on that) as you bring your own tent, camper or whatever you have to sleep in. The bathrooms are very well kept, and are comfortable beyond what you could expect from a campground. The staff is a pleasure, mostly comprised of nature-lovers that hop from natural park to natural park as the seasons go. You can enjoy so many birds and things just at the campsite. Lots of woodpeckers, and the occasional alligator can pay a visit.

Bring the barbeque stuff with you.
One mile to walk to communicate at the good restaurant or the marina.

Great place to camp. 10/10 for amenities, cleanliness, staff, and location.
Be aware that people aren't kidding when they mention BUGS! I'm a Florida native who came prepared and still got absolutely eaten alive. The mosquitos and no-see-ums are truly brutal. Great place to explore nature though!

Very remote camp site to enjoy a quiet evening under the stars, on a clear night. A great dark sky camping location. Once you pay the $35 park fee to enter the Everglades National Park it will be about 45 minutes until you arrive at the camp grounds. The layout is nice, they have various fire pits, and the public restrooms were clean. Yes, there are a lot of mosquitoes, it's the Everglades.

We stayed at the Flamingo Campgroud. Grounds were well kept, sites were large. There are only some sites with electric only at them.

Good for a day trip. Not a lot to do but the visitor centers are nice in this park. Main road to the campsite is over 40 miles long. Do not recommend to anyone who isn’t familiar with the mosquitos/animals in Florida. I’m a born and raised Floridian (NE FL, I’ve spent the majority of my life outdoors) and I still had a rough time at this campsite. I covered myself in Off Deep Woods (40% Deet) the entire time and still left with 15+ mosquito bites. The other campers who were unfortunate enough to get the sites nearer to the woods were literally fleeing due to the bugs when I went for my morning stroll. I also watched vultures pick apart another campsite because they failed to secure their food in their car.
Camp ground itself is clean, bathrooms are refreshed every morning, the “solar showers” everyone else complained about are powered by 6 massive solar panels, employees were very polite. It’s simply not a great idea to build a campground on a marsh in Florida. I hoped the mosquitos wouldn’t be as bad as the reviews said because I went in early January, I was sorely mistaken.
I did not pick the campground due to the fact I stayed with friends from out of state who booked the site. It would not have been my choice at all because I’m smart enough to read the reviews thus the three bottles of Off that I brought and used. There’s literally a “mosquito meter” in one of the visitors centers… I will not be going back. Don’t plan on visiting much else outside of the park because it’s nearly an hour away from the nearest town and an hour and a half from the keys. I hope this review spares at least a few poor souls. Do yourself a favor and book a hotel room, make a day trip to the Everglades National Park and spend the other day in the keys.

I've never seen so many mosquitoes in the middle of the summer anywhere else in the south The amount of mosquitoes here tells me that God doesn't want any concrete buildings or paved roads going there.

Definitely five stars for the size of the sites in this campground! Also of course in a beautiful part of the world. Campground provides electric hookups and there is a bathroom / shower / toilet block and fresh water filling station. If you want to try and avoid the mosquitoes, pick a site towards the center of the campground (ie. Stay away from the edges where all the mozzies hang out in the bushes!)

The visitor center is definitely worth spending an afternoon at, and a beautiful spot to take a camp chair and book and hang out on Florida Bay.
