We did notice some communication issues, as others pointed out. But overall, it was a good experience.
Also, great food????
Breakfast was various and testy.
Room view, design of room/hotel was beautiful.
Room on first floor was dump and humid.

Beach was small, but beautiful.
2. During check-in, the staff persistently suggested a 10 am checkout, despite our guaranteed 4 pm checkout arrangement through Amex Travel.
3. There was persistent pressure to opt for the hotel's airport transfer or half-day taxi service, including follow-up calls despite expressing a need for time to decide.
4., and no room upgrade was offered.
5. The cost of food was higher than comparable establishments like Raffles, and the overall quality was subpar.
6. Despite choosing Mango House over the Four Seasons based on positive social media reviews, the experience did not align with expectations.
7. The pool was cold, and the beach, though beautifully located, was small and filled with sharp rocks.
8. Miscommunication from the staff included a rushed airport transfer, with the driver given conflicting information about the pickup time. Not what you would expect when paying 140 euros for a luxury transfer.
9. I was charged for the mini-bar consumption in the first room, which was not used. The staff only decided to waive the charge after questioning, attributing it to a "bumpy stay."

During our stay, we had nothing short of phenomenal service from everyone at the resort. The highlight of our trip must be the gastronomical scene this resort offers. The breakfast is served a-la-carte + there are many appetizers and side dishes being brought to the table by the staff. The breakfast meals can be chosen from a big variety of options divided in 2 categories: comforting and healthy, and everything we tried was absolutely amazing, especially the truffle omelette and the french toast! The Italian restaurant was our favorite, but we also had beyond-amazing meals at the Creole and at the Japanese restaurants.
During our visit, there weren't many people at the resort and while it is quite a youthful place, it's ever so serene and calm. Unfortunately, we didn't book a cocktail-making class in time at Kokoye but we will definitely do it next time we are there! The cherry at the top was that they allowed us a complimentary late-check out (6 pm), which definitely proves how above and beyond the staff at Mango House goes in order to assure the guests have a pleasant stay.
Huge thanks to each and every one that made our stay unforgettable and we are already looking forward to going back to Mango House!
The only constructive feedback we have is that we had difficulty finding communication options for the resort prior to arrival. Possibly because they are only featured through the Hilton general website or because we booked through Amex travel, but it was surprising that there was no obvious contact available since during our stay communication was so easy. Please review your contact portals on Hilton, etc!
Attentiveness: We truly loved the welcome treat that Stephan arranged and delivered by Rikki which made us feel welcomed and at home at the resort. Staff was responsive and helpful for everything during our 4 day stay.
Grounds: Very beautiful and intimate with perfect size to walk around and enjoy the beach, pool, sunset and beautiful view of the Baie Lazare. There are only about 40 rooms so it never felt like you were in competition for beach chairs or amenities or service with other guests.
Location: This is probably what we appreciated most. We could have happily stayed and relaxed at the resort day after day, but we decided to rent a car arranged through reception so that we could explore the island and we took short drive to the beautiful anse intendance, and another day we checked out port Launay where the beach was adjacent to Constance Ephelia--water was beautiful and easily accessible with public parking. We had looked at Kempinski and 4 seasons which are also in area, but just a little further off the main road that we felt we would have been isolated and constrained had we stayed at either. Not to mention they appeared bigger/less boutique compounds.
Rooms: We stayed in the Bay Villas which was near the entrance to the grounds and a ground patio walk out to main pool. The space was comfortable and again very convenient to utilize the resort amenities with a short walk or buggy ride (if in heels or managing bags), while we were also around the corner from parking lot to hit the main island road in our car hire.
Food: breakfast options were great! I appreciated the service format were they came around with platter rather than a walk-around self-serve buffet. It felt less wasteful and more fresh; I think more resorts should use this format. They also had al a carte options which were all delicious and perfect portion to try one or two dishes. We ate at a couple of restaurants. The sushi was great, and the creole restaurant also great. Overall, exactly what we could have wanted, and a great value when booked with Amex promotions that provided resort credit, late check-out which was easy to arrange, and very accommodating such that we could stick around at main house before our midnight flight to Dubai.
PS I am glad we booked car through business that resort contracts with. There are several small private bookings at airport, and all are basically the same, and the rates at hotel were the same. Just inquire on check-in; they can not guarantee availability, but if you are flexible with time of delivery and car type they can likely accommodate. BTW as a New York daily driver I was far more comfortable in the Toyota SUV than the Hyundai i10 which I drove on Praslin. It was only 10 euro more/day, but felt safer on the hills, switchbacks and narrow roads, and it was great that concierge could facilitate and communicate during the reservation process.

Took me 35 minutes to get from airport to mango house by hired car.
Staff really make this place.

Rooms are comfortable yet nothing WOW about them, especially at this price. The pool was nice to sit by and the staff were relatively helpful.
Breakfast was good, although slow and no buffet.
We ate at all three restaurants in the hotel the Japanese was excellent - on par with some of the Japanese restaurants we eat at in Dubai. The Creole was good for fish and local dishes and the service here was excellent. We enjoyed the bar on the roof for a sun downer or post dinner cocktail and the amercian girl serving was very pleasant and makes excellent drinks! On the whole a good 4 star hotel but we felt was expensive for the quality vs. what we paid at Raffles on Praslin for example!
