LA QUINTA INN & SUITES BY WYNDHAM SHREVEPORT AIRPORT ^{* *}

I can't believe I didn't review this place before! We stayed here during the LA State Fair and the staff were amazing! They were so nice to me and my kids, we decided to come back as an overnight rest stop for a longer trip to see the Eclipse. Both times, I had to call the front desk in advance and they were very accommodating and wrote notes in the system.

The rooms and hotel in general are really clean. The air conditioners get nice and cold. The area is centrally located and right next to the freeway, but our rooms were super quiet. We didn't hear any noises. It's not super walkable, but I guess you could. There are food and shops in the next shopping center over.

But! If you're looking for breakfast, you won't need to go anywhere else. My kids' favorite part of staying at this particular location is Ms. Pat and her breakfast. They have everything: Waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, cereals, muffins, juices, yogurt, and oats. Ms. Pat is so sweet, too. Breakfast was almost over, and they had already eaten, but they wanted second breakfast as we were leaving. She said we shouldn't leave with the kids still being hungry. She even sat and talked and sang the ABCs with us. Really wholesome. :)

Great shower in room. Disappointing breakfast choices.

Staff was incredibly friendly, even at 2AM. The room was large, clean, and actually accessible as claimed. Full wheelchair access and a shower stool. I’ve stayed in 6 hotels the last week, this was the best by far. Thank you!

Located conveniently on I-20, easy off and on. That can be a minus for those with rooms toward front of hotel, road noise is loud on interstate. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and this LQ is also pet friendly. Some have mentioned the availability of hot water and water pressure and while that can be a challenge at times, it's not a deal breaker.

That particular issue may be due to the large amount of oil field workers that stay at this La Quinta, getting cleaned up in the afternoons and evenings. Those same workers also quickly fill the already tight/limited parking lot with their large pickup and utility trucks...around which they like to have somewhat noisy "block parties" in the evening, or at least the night we stayed. Just putting it out there for your awareness, if you're a light sleeper. ????

Now, the best part...some of THE friendliest and most helpful front desk, kitchen, housekeeping and custodial staff members in ANY hotel work at this La Quinta. They are warm and welcoming, and should be the standard that other hotels follow!

I had a great time at this hotel! We showed up early to check in and the helpful staff was able to accommodate us and get a room ready even though they had had a full house the night before. The beds in this place are incredibly comfortable the pillows are excellent. The shower is huge with awesome pressure and quality soaps. Breakfast was delicious I had eggs and yogurt and I got in a great workout in their very complete gym. This place was fantastic and I would definitely come back!
