Voici un centre de plongée comme on les aime en France ! Petite structure, matériel très bien entretenu et une expérience des plongées autour de Grand Bahama, assez rare pour être notée. Nick et Karen Rolle tiennent ce centre familial depuis plus de 30 ans et Nick est probablement le plongeur qui connait le mieux les secrets sous-marins de cette île. Si vous aimez les cenotes, ne ratez pas la plongée dans Ben's cavern, une superbe caverne immergée à terre, au cœur du parc national Lucayan. Ses stalactites et stalagmites sont une merveille accessible pour tous.

10/10 recommend. Came to the Bahamas with 8 boat dives booked with another company, and they all got cancelled . We were searching the island for companies that could take us out. Karen offered up and got us in on some great diving. When the wind was too strong , they got us in the canal . We got to dive bens cavern which was incredible . We got to go dive with some of the local sharks . Nick and Kelly make an amazing team and are a blast to be around . Thank you all for getting us in the water when nobody else would ????

My husband, dad, aunt and uncle did a number of dives with Sunn Odyssey during our recent stay in Freeport. Between all of us, we did about 25+ dives. They were super close to where we were staying so we figured we would check them out, and what a good choice that was! We had so much fun meeting and diving with everyone there. Karen is amazing and welcoming, Nick is a super knowledgeable and experienced diver and captain, and Kelly was a great and fun guide. The dives were fantastic, and we were even able to do the Ben’s Cave dive which totally blew me away. Their dive boat in my opinion is my ideal size; even when it was full it didn’t feel crowded or like a cattle boat. Plus having two nice, sturdy ladders is a huge positive. Sunn Odyssey is a great operation and if you’re in the area, you’ll be happy that you stopped by to do a dive with them. We are absolutely going to see them again!!

Booked and received confirmation from Karen for discover scuba diving a month prior to our date. Before booking Karen was extremely rude over the phone with the questions I had. Despite that interaction I booked based on previous reviews. Despite our early arrival, we were not checked in and were ignored until the boat was getting prepared to leave. Karen stated “ we did not register or receive confirmation” and continued to blame this misunderstanding on us. I showed her the printed email confirmation and she still was extremely adamant that this was our fault. Karen stated that even though she had our reservation she wouldn’t honor the discover scuba diving. Kevin allowed us to do snorkeling for free due to the inconvenience and Karen rudely stated that “it was not my choice to allow this”. Highly disappointed in the rude customer service on Karen’s end. Kelly was very knowledgeable and apologetic for the misunderstanding on Karen’s end. I would not recommend this experience to anyone looking to book. This opportunity would have been recommended on our end if Karen was not the main point of contact.

We booked our trip last minute. They accomodated us very well! We asked to see sharks and a ship wreck and they delivered! We will be returning for more dives! ????

Sunn Odyssey Divers is the best kind of dive shop: a conscientious, personable, local shop. I thought that Ashley and Kelly were top notch divemasters: super knowledgeable, service-oriented, great at spotting things underwater, and had a very strong focus on safety which I really appreciated. Nick and Karen (the owners) were similarly personable and accommodating. As is common with this kind of shop, the dive group was reasonably small and most divers on the boat seemed to be fairly experienced. Despite the mostly experienced clientele, my dive buddy was a newer diver who likes to take her time setting descending and the divemasters did a fantastic job accommodating her and making her feel comfortable in the water. I thought they also did a good job of allowing the other divers to get their full bottom time in even though my buddy and I had come up a bit earlier due to our air consumption. I thought the dive sites they took us to were really good. Though I only dove with them for one day (due to the length of time I was in Freeport), I would absolutely come back and dive with them for several more days.
