Very nice place I love it

The Management Team of this resort has given me a very bad impression about the service. Mr. Rahul Jain and his team has failed to provide rates for requested email rates and excursion details despite of end number of follow up and reminders.

Now I have to check for other Resort for support in Zanzibar.

Zu allererst kann ich den ganzen positiven Bewertungen hier nur zustimmen! Wir haben unseren Urlaub für 3 Wochen im Sea Cliff Resort gebucht...
Wir sind so positiv überrascht, unsere Erwartungen wurden sowohl vom Hotel als auch von Sansibar mehr als übertroffen.
Nun zum Hotel:
Es ist wohl das ruhigste und idyllischste Hotel auf ganz Sansibar. Geeignet besonders für Paare jeden Alters, die mal Zeit zu zweit genießen wollen, vom Alltag abschalten möchten. Aber auch für Familien bestens geeignet! Alle sind hier überaus freundlich, zuvorkommend und Aufmerksam.Jeder Wunsch wird erfüllt, auch ganz individuell. Der Service ist zu allen Zeiten immer lieb und stets fleißig. Das Essen ist vielfältig, immer frisch und hat Klasse statt Masse! Das kann man schmecken und sehen! Die Zimmer sind jeden Tag sehr sauber, immer wird für alles gesorgt, abends wird nochmal geschaut, ob die Fenster geschlossen sind. Das Bett wird nochmals gerade gezogen und der Mosquito- Vorhang wird zugezogen. Es wird nochmal gesprüht, das es auch wirklich keine Mosquitostiche gibt! Ganz großes Lob auch dafür. Die Anlage liegt traumhaft eingebettet auf einer Klippe mit dem besten Blick über den Indischen Ozean. Sie ist sehr gepflegt, überall findet man ein tolles Plätzchen zum Verweilen. Ob an den 2 Infinity Pools gelegen ,auf 2 Etagen mit Blick auf den Ozean oder auf den Lounges die überall stehen. Überall ist es auffällig ruhig, was für Ruhesuchende natürlich absolut empfehlenswert ist! Über einem Steg kann man die Bar mitten auf dem Ozean erreichen ,auf dem man die Abendstimmung mit fantastischen Sonnenuntergang bestaunen kann. Die vielen Farben und das Glitzern des Wassers macht dies zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis! Mit einem leckeren Wein oder Cocktail in der Hand( natürlich auch reichlich Auswahl an lokalen Bier sowie Softdrinks) lässt man dann den Tag ausklingen. Als Sundowner gibt es eine Schale gerösteter Erdnüsse, hat alles irgendwie echt Klasse und vermittelt das Gefühl Willkommen zu sein! Man entschleunigt schon am 1 Tag und vergisst schnell die Zeit oder wünschte sich sie für einen Moment anhalten zu können...Eines muss ich unbedingt hinzufügen, das Hotel ist in goldenen und hellen Tönen gestaltet und dekoriert im afrikanischen Stil. Am Abend sobald die Sonne im Ozean versunken ist, leuchtet auch der Himmel golden sowie der Ozean und die Farben des Hotels beginnen an wunderschön zu schimmern und werden dadurch noch mehr in Szene gesetzt. Das muss man gesehen haben!!!!!! Danach gibt es am großen Pool Livemusik zum Dinner. Fantastisch und jeden Tag aufs Neue eine Freude für jung und alt ! Danach lauscht man auf den gemütlichen Lounges noch weiter den afrikanischen Klängen bei einem Drink und fällt dann überglücklich und mit grosser Vorfreude in das gemachte Bettchen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder im Oktober und bringen unsere Familie mit. Das kann man nur verstehen, wenn man mal hier gewesen ist. Danke für diesen traumhaften Urlaub. Sehr schöne Anlage, und weit weg von jeglicher Zivilisation. Aber dank Shuttle Bus ist man fix in Stone Town. Die Angestellten sind extrem fleißig und freundlich. Zimmer sind sehr sauber, wie die gesamte Anlage auch. Leider auch sehr hellhörig. Gelegentliche Stromausfälle sind möglich, aber kein Drama. Halbpension ist mehr wie ausreichend, ein phantastisches Angebot an Speisen. Für alles andere muss man sich eben in die "Stadt" bemühen.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful resort, and we cannot express how delightful our experience was. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made us feel incredibly welcome.

The room was nice and clean and comfortable with a partial sea view. Rooms were cleaned daily and at night the bedding was turn down.

One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the resort staff. Everyone, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met. They were always ready with a smile and eager to assist with any request we had, making us feel valued and appreciated as a guest. When I was sick everyone wants to know if I was fine and can they help me with a doctor or meds. Asiya Waziri went out of her way to deliver an excellent service to us and our friends. Cosman also delivered great service.

The amenities at the hotel were also top-notch. The restaurant (buffet) served delicious meals (breakfast and dinner) with different themes every night. The pudding table looked great but there was no taste to the puddings. Very bland. The entertainment was also great. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and a tranquil ambiance.

Overall, our stay at this resort was a truly memorable experience. We would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a delightful and unforgettable stay.

5 Zanzibar star resort, please don't confuse zanzibar star rating with the rest of the world
However this hotel is exceptional in cleanliness and staff service and helpfulness
The restaurant staff in particular Jitendra, Scola and Rose could not have done more to look after us, the bands in the evening are also very enjoyable
Great squash and tennis courts and crazy golf, free use of Kayaks are useful, massage and spa also very enjoyable, golf would have been great if had got to play but rain prevented this
Overall a very pleasant hotel, the only let down if there was one is there is absolutely nothing around it to see or do

We stayed here for 5 days after a safari in Tanzania. One of the key measurements of a hotel is how they deal with problems, and the Sea Cliff scored very well on this. We had a couple of issues on check-in, but the staff managed a totally acceptable resolution.
The rooms are a good size, but the showers are in need of refurbishment - which apparently they have planned for 2024.
It was unfortunate that it rained almost continually during our stay, but we did fully utilise the hotel facilities.
The service in the restaurant was excellent and we had a very good massage.
Would certainly recommend - but not in November ????

Das Hotel hat definitiv keine 5 Sterne verdient, außer das Personal, welches wirklich außerordentlich nett ist und alles ermöglicht. Das Zimmer war sehr laut, 3-4 mal Stromausfall am Tag, der Pool ständig Pumpenlärm. Trotz Ankündigung kann man abends kein A la Carte essen., nur Buffet Obwohl Standard in solchen Hotels wurde mein Geburtstag vergessen.
Getränkepreise sind moderat, deswegen reicht Halbpension. Die Anlage ist an sich sehr schön, aber immer laut. Nur bei Stromausfall hörst du keine Pumpe oder Generatoren. Wir buchen nächstes Mal ein anderes Hotel, aber wir kommen wieder nach Zanzibar.
Wie gesagt, das Personal ist top!

Wunderschönes Hotel, riesige weitläufige Anlage an der Westküste Zanzibars. Das Meer ist über Stufen/Steg zu erreichen-da der Tidenhub sehr groß ist (6h Zyklus) ist je nach Ebbe oder Flut das Schwimmen im Meer möglich. Großer Vorteil der Lage an der Westküste: man hat jeden Abend wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge zu bestaunen. Wenn man Action und Bars in der Nähe sucht sollte man aber eher ein Hotel an der Ostküste bzw. Im Norden buchen. Wir haben die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit jedenfalls genossen! ???? Das Hotel bietet vielseitige Sportmöglichkeiten, Wassersport, Minigolf, Golf, Reiten,... das Personal ist sehr freundlich und wahnsinnig um seine Gäste bemüht. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und sehr abwechslungsreich. Es gibt auch ein eigenes Spa im Hotel. Alles in allem ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt im Sea Cliff Resort auf Zanzibar.

Such a wonderful resort, beautiful views of the sunset and a wonderful helpful staff made our stay quite memorable. There are quite a lot of activities to do at the resort, we played the giant ground chess, pool, darts, table tennis, miniature golf, plus there are golf carts to take you around the property. The live band and acrobatics during dinner on the weekends is amazing, and there is a variety of food types as each day has a different theme.. Just Amazing!!

I absolutely loved my little gate-away here ! The food was lovely - let’s not even get started on the impeccable views . On Saturday they had a live band .. truly beautiful vibes . I strongly recommend visiting this gem for at-least 3 days :-)

Another besty vacay in May 2023 confused the body a bit as it was freezing in South Africa when we left only to find it dry and hot in Zanzibar.

I particularly liked the daily shuttle to StoneTown, and we were lucky enough to get one of the hotel staff to take us through town on her day off. It was an amazing experience from a locals point of view.
Each night was themed so we also got to taste a variety of food.
The facilities were great and rooms well attended but we were disappointed that the upgrades to the infinity pool were not communicated and those0

Magnifique hôtel, très calme. Le personnel est juste incroyable de politesse de disponibilité et de gentillesse. Les infrastructures sont au top. Le golf est superbe et très bien entretenu. Près de la plage et des superbes piscines ( 65 m) il y a toujours un transat de disponible. (il ne devait y avoir d'allemands, "spécialistes de la serviette matinale sur transat" :)) . La restauration y est très bonne et variée. Juste un peu long le midi pour le service à la carte. carte qui mériterait d'être changée de temps en temps pour ceux qui restent longtemps ou bien d'être différente selon les restaurants.
Les chambres sont très biens. Belle vue mer sur de magnifiques couchés de soleil. La tv fonctionne mal. Au debut On avait tf1 euronews et même canal + mais qu'on voyait ou entendait mal. À la fin du séjour plus rien .
Le spa , magnifique, quoiqu'un peu cher même par rapport au tarif européen.
Bref Des broutilles par rapport à la qualité de L’ensemble. Félicitations !

Das Essen war sehr gut und es gibt sehr viel Personal, welches sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich ist. Die Anlage wirkt riesig.

I didnt stay here but had an amazing experience everytime i entered here. Its a beautiful resort...very humble staff who were always smiling and ready to attend us...the food was amazing as well. Will definately recommend for staying

It's beautiful place

The resort itself is exceptional. The pool is crystal clear, and the staff are friendly and pleasant. There is so much to do at the resort, and you can also do nothing but relax. They have shuttle into Stone Town, which does not cost you a cent. Aircons in the rooms and block out curtains with mosquitoe nets around the bed. The holiday experience was so much better staying at this resort.

Wie waren als Paar für 10 Tage Gäste im Sea Cliff und hatten eine unvergessliche Zeit! Insbesondere das Team des Resorts war total herzlich, hilfsbereit und zu jederzeit ansprechbar! Aber auch das Ambiente und die Location waren genau nach unserem Geschmack!
Zudem haben wir drei Touren über das Resort gebucht und waren auch hier mit den Local Guides sehr zufrieden!
Die vereinzelten negativen Kommentare können wir nicht nachvollziehen. Manchmal hilft etwas mehr Dankbarkeit!
Wir sind für unsere Zeit hier sehr dankbar und können das Resort zu 100 % weiterempfehlen!

Nice resort with a nice beach view

Excellent spot with live band.
Excellent sea view.
Unfortunately, fewer staff to attend to your needs.
Took over an hour and a half for the first set of food to arrive, although we were 16 pax.

Overpriced place but affordable.
We later went elsewhere to eat properly.
