wir waren am Ende unserer Rundreise 4 Nächte in diesem tollen Hotel. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön, wir haben vor allem die Außendusche genossen. Der Strand dort ist traumhaft, man kann ins Meer - allerdings sollte man wegen der großen Wellen aufpassen und nur zu bestimmten Zeiten schwimmen gehen. Wir waren Ende August dort und hatten den Strand teilweise komplett für uns alleine:-)
Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker, das einzige was für uns Europäer wirklich etwas schwierig war war das Frühstück. Hier bestellt man sich ein Frühstück a la carte und die Auswahl ist zwar da aber man vermisst eben hier das klassische europäische Frühstück mit Brot, Marmelade, Honig und Käse.
Da könnte man sehr einfach noch eine weitere Variante auf die Karte setzen und damit die Gäste aus Übersee glücklich machen:-)

Beautiful boutique hotel!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely and tranquil.

Definitely feels like paradise with amazing gardens throughout the property!

We were pretty disappointed with our stay here. Beautiful property, but with many downsides. Main complaint was the food. Overpriced and poorly executed food, we tried many meals and none left us satisfied. Additionally, the bedroom was infested with ants when we arrived and they continued to keep coming in our entire stay because the rooms are lined with sliding glass doors and windows who’s warped frames are not properly sealed, letting in mosquitos, lizards, and spiders throughout our entire stay. Windows line all the walls, but there’s no curtains to block out the light that continues to shine in from their outdoor lamps at night. Mattress was the hardest mattress we have both ever slept on (possibly made worse by the mattress being laid right on top of a rock bed frame) and we were in so much pain because of it. Massage from the spa was also slightly overpriced in my opinion ($90 min for nearly all services). It’s unique architecture and right on the beach, but needs some improvements.

The facility and rooms appear very nice. The bed in room 14 was very hard and uncomfortable. Lots of creatures made their way into the room because the doors are not well sealed. Our A/C began to leak in the room, which was fixed immediately. Spa is nice and worth the money. My real issue is with the restaurant. All of our food (5 breakfasts, 1 dinner) was very under seasoned and the rice that came with the chicken piccata was hard/chewy. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay.

We didn't stay at the hotel/spa, but stopped to eat at the restaurant. We were glad we did, and will do so again in the future. The food was excellent. Expensive but worth it.

I highly recommend the lomo saltado, And the coconut flan for dessert.

Beach and property were beautiful, quiet and peaceful!
Rooms were incredible! Dreamy!
Staff were very kind.
We chose this location because they advertised for a great vegan menu. It was quite disappointing. Not many options and options were not that great unfortunately.

This place is so beautiful and relaxing. My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon here and it was perfect! The room we had was big, lots of space, overlooking the beach and had a private pool. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were amazing and my massage had me feeling like melted butter, lol. I can't wait to go back and highly recommend to anyone.

Amazing location right by the beach. There is a long stretch where the only beach access is from private resorts or residences so the beach is even less busy than the rest of the coast here.

We loved our stay at Alma! Staff were incredible, so kind, so patient (neither me nor my bf speak much Spanish), and so attentive. Rooms were beautiful, clean, and well stocked. The grounds were stunning, and so well maintained. This place ran like a well-oiled machine, and it made the experience wonderful! Right on the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen, too! The food at the restaurant was great!

We had a great stay at Alma Del Pacifico! Having never been to Esterillos we decided to take a ride down to see the area and the hotel before booking a room. They had a beachfront room available which we enjoyed very much. The hotel is roughly 20 years old and the rooms are showing some signs of needing upgrades but the grounds are well kept and beautiful and its hard to beat the beach front location. Esterillos beach is a beautiful black sand beach where you can walk for miles and we did just that! The property has 24 hour security as well which we greatly appreciated and wouldn't stay anywhere in Costa Rica without. The room on top of that also was equipped with a safe which we also appreciated and require on any of our stays in CR. We did enjoy the included breakfast at the resort - lovely CR style menu with eggs, fresh fruits, gallo pinto and delicious juices and Costa Rican Coffee. The staff is wonderful - we enjoyed the service a lot thoughout the hotel - smiles all around. We thought the lunch and dinner menu was a tad on the overpriced side so we only ate one of our additional meals at the hotel and chose to eat out for the other meals. The menu was also more of a Peruvian style -- nice but we were looking for some more authentic Costa Rican dishes - Casado's, etc - not on the menu. The main issue though was that it was overpriced for what it was. We would and likely will return to Alma Del Pacifico as we did enjoy our stay greatly. We also thought the hotel would be a great place for a larger group or retreat if we decided to get our friends or family for a trip in the future. The hotel has roughly 20 rooms with many of them beach front and some have their own small pools right on the patio - we would have loved one of those but they were all booked up! Next time! Pura Vida!

This is our “go to” hotel in Costa Rica. Living in Atenas we are only 1and 1/2 hours away. This hotel is an amazing work of art and craftsmanship. Read the history when yo arrive. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The shower is amazing! We love the staff and the service is excellent. They bend over backwards to accommodate. Their section of the beach is lined with plenty of palms and lounge chairs—no umbrellas needed. There are two pools both huge and great for swimming. You cannot go wrong staying at Alma del Pacifico

Horrible company to do business with! They are frauds! Be careful making a reservation, they do not abide by their own reservation cancellation rules.
We are dealing with a credit card dispute for hundreds of dollars in unauthorized charges from this hotel.

Alma del Pacifico is a superb property. Each room is artistically appointed, has amazing indoor (and adjacent) outdoor shower. The staff is the most professional and accommodating anywhere! From initial contact with reservations, through check-in, check-out every facet of the hotel experience is flawless. You will be treated like royalty at this property.
