To be avoided unless you work there! The only place in Dubai where the employees are enjoying themselves more than the patrons. As the evening unfolds one realises that the 20 or so people who are dancing and partying at top volume are all employed by the restaurant to create a party atmosphere. In the mean time the clients cannot converse nor enjoy dinner. The place should be converted into a night club, that would be more congruent with the atmosphere.

The flagship Paris restaurant with the same name has been open at rue de Faubourg Sain-Honoré for over 10 years. Its Dubai branch has happily preserved the atmosphere of the French capital, with paintings on the walls and regular private viewings. During daytime, the place hosts the employees of nearby business towers for lunch, and in the evenings, it’s filled with amorous couples and connoisseurs of contemporary Paris projects. Some order several appetizers to share, and others wait for the perfect Rossini steak – all to the accompaniment of a live piano or a DJ set. By the way, the menu offers more than the French classics: there is Veal Milanese and Lobster spaghetti, among other things. A nice bonus is the view of DIFC and skyscrapers of Sheikh Zayed Road: such panoramas go especially well with the cocktails.

Ambiance feutrée, service au top, cadre superbe, bonnes vibes. Comme notre expérience s’est faite durant le ramadan il n’y avait pas d’animation dj ce qui habituellement donne encore plus de relief au lieu

Food amazing, vibe also. Location is quite good and the view as well. Special 5 star for the manager I belive, he is greek. Super kind, helpful & professional. Same goes to all staff. All recommendations!

Food is amazing, and now decor of the restaurant is much nicer (indoors), as outdoor terrace was always really cute.

Edit: Visited tonight again and met the restaurant’s manager who is extremely charismatic, welcoming and polite. Really made our short visit a memorable one, as you don’t get to see people like him often.

Great location and great food, the in-restaurant staff is very friendly and professional! But as usual, it takes one person to spoil the whole customer experience, after being regular customer for several years now, the reservation team managed to make it a nightmare to simply continue enjoying going to this place!!!
I hope the restaurant management will flag this as I am sure others would simply skip this place as the first interaction is with the reservation team… it is a pity

La Cantine du Faubourg is a modern, elegant French restaurant located in the iconic Emirates Tower Jumeirah Hotel. Tastefully designed, and with a fabulous vibe, it is a feast for all the senses.

I ordered their chicken breast with the green curry sauce and wild pilaf rice. The chicken was very well done, with the meat tender and moist but a slightly crusty, delicious layer on top. The green sauce was delicious but for some strange reason was served cold which didn’t go well with the chicken at all. The wild rice, however, was warm and delicious. Overall, a good meal which could - and should - have been immaculate with some attention to details.

The service was professional but as some other reviewers have also noted, somewhat standoffish to the point that I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. That is rather unfortunate since one goes to a restaurant like La Cantine looking not just for good food but a well-rounded dining experience. On that count, La Cantine was a let-down.

Restaurant to avoid, bad experience. the staff looks bad, they are not customer friendly. Impossible to get a blanket when it's cold outside! Concerning the kitchen, the portions are very small, they forget things that we had ordered, many times. The waiter urgently asks you for tips when the bill is announced, very strange behavior. There are other much better French restaurants in Dubai, this is not one of them.

Si vous êtes français ou autre bien sûr, passez à la cantine et vous aurez des souvenirs fabuleux.
Une troisième soirée passée dans cette établissement mais la première pour y faire la fête et ça ne sera pas la dernière.

The place is appropriate as for a romantic date night as for a friends night out.
The food is excellent and well presented offering wonderful flavours.
The service was FAULTLESS, very rare now in Dubai. Everyone is very friendly and have a good knowledge of the product. Also to note everyone seem to enjoy working there which is very important as it reflects on the service.
The venue is beautiful and very comfortable.
The ambiance is amazing, the pianist and singers were incredible.
Amazing experience.

It’s a nice place with elegant atmosphere, and quiet enough so you can have a conversation. Live pianist some days and singer. Place has chill vibes yet still elegant. I like it.

The culinary experience at La Cantine was truly exceptional, with flavors and quality that surpassed my expectations. As someone living in Dubai, I can confidently say it's among the best I've encountered in the city. The chef deserves immense praise for their culinary mastery. The setting and atmosphere were charming, creating a delightful backdrop for the dining experience. However, I must express disappointment in the service aspect. The front desk staff lacked friendliness and professionalism, and their judgmental behavior was off-putting. Additionally, the attire worn by some staff members (hostesses) was not in line with the ambiance expected of a high-quality dining establishment. The slow service was another letdown, especially considering the outstanding food and ambiance. It's evident that with the right management and team, this place has the potential to truly shine. Addressing these issues could elevate the overall experience and ensure that every aspect of the dining journey lives up to the exceptional culinary standard set by the chef.
