We booked many weeks in advance and they called the day before to say they had closed for the season and our booking was cancelled. Why take bookings? Why not tell us sooner?

We had booked for mid September. If you’re doing the same you should ask they confirm they’re staying open for that time. We are only in the area for a few days and now one of our key plans has vanished. Very poor.

Be careful. These are amateurs that did not come to pick us up at the set time and we had to wait one and a half hours for the bus at the end of the route. When we tried to ask them about it they started shouting without giving any reason for them not showing up.

UPDATA : Following the business response below, I hope you can see that the boss himself and his female assistant are rude and don't take any responsibility. They told us to be there in a certain hour. They never told us about "a bus". They never told us that this is the time where it leaves. When someone tells you he comes to pick you up at a certain time, he should be there. So instead of admitting that this was their fault and apologies, they decide to blame it on us. Not only that, we were not the only ones waiting and a group was there even before us. They simply lie about the bus arriving. Fact is that character shows, and the boss and assistants are arrogant and rude. Be warned... Don't fall for the fake reviews here.

Loris a été impeccable avec nous. Et voir la valée des 5 châteaux comme ça c'est juste insane.

On a descendu les 10km en 2h45 en prenant notre temps.☺️

Nous avons été bien accueillis et bien conseillés, nous avons réalisé la descente de 26 kms, pour des habitués elle n'est pas compliquée et les paysages sont magnifiques !!

Had a great experience with the 16km trip. Very friendly and attentitive staff.
The benefits of Canoë Vacances compared to all the other operators in the area:
1 They are downstream. So you start with a drop off at a preset time, do your trip at your leisure and finish where you parked your car: no need to rush for or wait for a bus to bring you back. Just enjoy a beer after the trip and leave when you're ready.
2 Their web site is in English and Dutch next to French: very useful when you're French language skills are not very good.

I highly recommend Canoë Vacances, thanks for a great day guys!

Super parcours de 8 km avec très peu de courant. Très bien pour une famille avec des enfants, des supers villages, troglodytes et ses châteaux.

Eight of us hired three boats for the trip from La Roque Gageac to Les Milandes. Enjoyed this immensely. Views were great and it was well organised. If your French is poor, don't worry as the people working here speak good English.
Only criticism is that the river here is quite busy, especially at Roque Gageac. Don't expect a peaceful row down the river!

Moment agréable avec nos deux pti bonshommes .... Le matin de préférence car moins de monde...on a profité du coup pour faire plusieurs pauses et prendre le temps...Descente de 9kms sur une eau paisible...
Nous avons été bien renseigné avec un personnel agréable ???? le chauffeur de bus était un peu speed lol

Parcours entre carsac et laroque. Canoe de bonne qualité, personnel agréable et professionnel. Une belle balade avec de très beau paysage. Parking ombragé et gratuit pour laisser la voiture. Je recommande

Prix très avantageux, y compris le retour en autocar au point de départ.
Les vues sur la rivière étaient exceptionnelles, le café au bord de la rivière à mi-chemin de l'excursion était également très bien avec des plats fraîchement cuisinés à des prix raisonnables.

Bien organisé avec le transport en amont de la rivière inclus. Nombreuses possibilités de s'arrêter sur le chemin du retour pour une collation, une boisson ou peut-être une baignade dans la rivière
