천재 왕실 조경사 '앙드레 르 노트르'가 설계한 프랑스 '평면원 방식' 정원의 정수. 루이 14세의 명령으로 1661년 처음 조성된 이후 약 40년 동안 수십 명의 유명 조경사와 건축가, 조각가들이 정원 가꾸기에 매달렸다. 베르사유 궁전을 중심으로 작은 정원과 풀숲, 산책로들이 완벽한 대칭을 이루고 있으며, 왕이 뱃놀이를 즐겼다는 운하와 왕비의 별궁들, 농가들까지 포함한 방대한 규모를 자랑한다. 봄부터 가을까지 이어지는 주간 음악 분수쇼와 6월부터 9월까지 매주 토요일 저녁 진행되는 야간 분수쇼 등의 특별한 볼거리가 있는 곳으로, 아름다운 조각상들로 장식된 정원을 산책하며 예쁜 기념사진을 남기기 좋다.

Sicuramente una delle bellezze più note di Versailles: purtroppo d'inverno sono poco godibili, sia per il gran freddo, sia per i rami spogli e i colori spenti che non rendono onore ai giardinieri che li curano. Tra l'altro d'inverno le statue sono coperte e le fontane spente.

Les jardins sont accessibles sans avoir besoin de billets ou quoi que ce soit, l’équivalent d’un parc. Magnifique lieu, parfaitement entretenu et il suffit de marcher quelques instants pour s’éloigner des touristes et se ressourcer paisiblement. Au top

Even though I went in winter season a.k.a low tourism season, the whole venue is amazing, wonderfully outstanding architecture, nature and views.
If you are into a trip to Paris, definitely worth the whole day you need to spend to see it all.
If you are coming in low tourism season, even though the gardens might not be at their best, you do not have to wait on large queues to enter.

Una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida. Recorrer los jardines fue maravilloso. Es un lugar histórico, lleno de arte y con mucha historia que al día de Hoy impacta. Conocer las costumbres de quienes eran reyes, el linaje, la riqueza, el poder y conocer por dentro su estilo de vida Francés. Hoy en día está abierto al mundo, y lo mejor de todo es que entiendo que lo que en algún momento fue riqueza de los reyes hoy en día es abierto al público. Incluso se puede ir a los jardines de forma gratuita según entendí. Había gente corriendo incluso en algunos lugares. Son muchas más hectáreas, demasiado grande.
En mi caso fuimos un día en el que al final, antes del cierre ponen música y el agua comienza a salir de sus fuentes, que están por todos lados, en los diferentes jardines, jugando con la música y el arte. Se puede pagar un tren, que pasa continuamente para ir a los diferentes espacios más allá del principal. Recomiendo también buscar mapa para ubicarse. En caso de querer caminar también se puede y aunque no es económico, se puede también comer dentro de los jardines.
Hermosisima experiencia que por supuesto recomiendo !!

É sempre um bom lugar. Tomamos um café e fizemos um lanche em uma pequena cafeteria, a delfim; para nossa surpresa um dos atendentes falava um pouco de português. Foi uma ótima experiência

Ces jardins sont l’un des chefs-d'œuvre les plus emblématiques de l'art paysager français. Conçus sous le règne de Louis XIV par le célèbre jardinier André Le Nôtre.

Ils sont si vastes et riches en merveilles qu’une seule visite ne suffit pas à en apprécier toute la splendeur. Avec 815 hectares, des parterres symétriques, une multitude de bosquets, des fontaines animées, des allées majestueuses et des points d’eau, chaque recoin révèle une nouvelle facette du génie artistique et architectural du Grand Siècle.
Aujourd’hui, les jardins sont classés au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO et attirent des millions de visiteurs.

Ein riesiges, unüberschaubares Areal von Gartenanlagen, Brunnen, Schlössern, und diversen Bauwerken.
Zu Fuß an einem Tag nicht zu bewältigen. Hier hat sich ein absolutistischer Herrscher einen Traum erfüllt - in der heutigen Zeit ein unvorstellbares Vorhaben.
Je weiter man sich vom zentralen Schloss entfernt, um so kleiner wird die Zahl der Besucher. Man findet tatsächlich Bereiche, in denen man fast allein unterwegs ist.
Der Eintritt ist im Schlossticket enthalten. Freier Zutritt nur in der Nebensaison.

The Gardens of Versailles are absolutely stunning and a true masterpiece of landscape design. Walking through the perfectly manicured lawns, intricate fountains, and beautiful sculptures feels like stepping into a different era. The musical fountain shows add a magical touch, and the vastness of the gardens means there’s always something new to discover. It’s the perfect place to relax and soak in the grandeur of French history. Highly recommend renting a golf cart or bike to explore it fully—it’s massive!

The Gardens of Versailles are absolutely breathtaking and massive. The beautifully landscaped grounds, ornate fountains, and sculptures seem to stretch on forever. Walking it all can be a challenge.

Pro tip: Rent a golf cart! ???? It was a lifesaver and made exploring the entire garden so much more enjoyable. You can cover all the highlights without getting exhausted, and it's fun to zip around the paths.

Whether you're into history, gardens, or just beautiful scenery, Versailles is a must-visit. Renting a cart made it even better!

Roughly around £8 per person, and children was around £5/£6. We can quite late and it was very cold! so didn't get to see as much in the evening. A very big lovely garden with lights. We saw their lovely horses, chickens, rabbits etc. It would be better to arrive very early to explore this park and garden fully. Parking is available and is free.

In my opinion one of the best parts of the garden. I love the Orangerie and it’s symmetrically placed plants and trees. The care and hard work put into the maintenance of the Orangerie has to be appreciated!

Currently undergoing renovation, you will see construction equipment all over the grounds. With that being said, it is an amazing experience! You get to walk the paths as all the royal inhabitants did!!
