L'Hôtel du Pont Vieux n'est pas seulement un hôtel plein de charme et idéalement situé pour profiter des merveilles de la cité médiévale de Carcassonne. Il a aussi à cœur de promouvoir les bons produits régionaux et dispose d'un coin épicerie. C'est là que l'on trouve les merveilleuses confitures de Catherine, sous l'appellation "Confitures de la cité". Si le packaging est élégant, il ne faut pas hésiter à ôter le couvercle pour les goûter : caramel au beurre salé, gelée de pommes aux épices, kiwi de Cuxac d'Aude... avec régulièrement plein de nouvelles saveurs.

Escapada breve de dos noches a Carcassone, y haber escogido Hotel Pont Vieux ha sido un acierto. Cerca de la ciudadela y La Bastida, junto al Pont Vieux, en una calle pintoresca. Aparcamiento gratis cerca si se busca, el trato de los anfitriones amable y cercano, las habitaciones limpias y bien acondicionadas (en nuestro caso, con unas vistas geniales de la Cité), el desayuno, con producto de calidad...magnífico. Totalmente recomendable, y con una tienda en la planta baja para adquirir productos del desayuno

Fantastische ligging van het hotel met een privéparking net naast de vestiging. Ontzettend vriendelijke eigenaar en eigenaresse. Zo attent dat zij waren. Ook in het hotel een heel leuk winkeltje met goede wijnen en streekproducten. Grote en gezellige slaapkamer.

A really nice few days at the Hotel du Pont Vieux while staying in Carcassonne. Well positioned on the Rue Trivalle cental for walking to the new town or the old walled city. Carcassonne is a 'must visit' destination for a short break and we were not disappointed from our welcome at the hotel, drinks and food in the old city and proximity to the airport. We took the bus from the airport to 'Le Dome' and then walked over the Pont Vieux bridge (around 10 mins) to the hotel. The hotel was easy to find. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was traditional and could be taken inside or in the enclosed rear garden. Jean Michel and Catherine were extremely welcoming and, important to highlight that, Jean Michel helped by taking us to the airport on our final day when our booked taxi failed to turn up. Some great views of the walled city from the roof patio area. Ideal for a Carcassonne visit. Highly recommended.

We had very enjoyable stay at this hotel, which is conveniently situated, in a quiet location, for the Old City (uphill walk but we did not find it a problem). A warm welcome greeted us on arrival and we found all the staff we met very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and we had plenty of space; the bed was very comfortable. A good breakfast was provided, which we could take inside or in the garden (a lovely setting). For convenience and not having visited Carcassonne before, we chose to take a taxi from the train station to the hotel. The taxi had to leave us near the hotel (1-2 minute walk to the hotel) as the hotel is situated in a no-traffic zone at certain times of the year. The hotel provided clear instructions for getting to the hotel, so again no problem. On leaving we decided to walk to the train station, about a 20 minute mostly flat walk. We would certainly use this hotel again if returning to Carcassonne.

Very good service and excellent location. Comfortable rooms with (at least our) outstanding view of Carcassone Citè. Just a note: room 20 (our room, triple) has a drawback that is the heat pump on the small common balcony, noisy during night.
