Difficult to imagine a more relaxing break. We stayed in a self-catering Gite for two which was well appointed and very comfortable. There is a good Intermarche in the village. The Domaine is beautiful, peaceful and very calm. Laurence is a wonderful host who offered to cook Table d'hotes for us on arrival as no local restaurants were open out of season. It was superb. She is on call for anything you may need but otherwise leaves you alone to relax - without lists of rules and regulations! The restaurant in the next village is excellent and 5 mins on quiet back roads. We stayed here as a base for exploring both The Lot and The Dordogne and it was perfect in every respect. A la prochaine!

We had such a fantastic stay - the property and rooms are wonderful and you are so warmly greeted by not only Laurance but both dogs looking for strokes. We had were given a tour of the house, gardens and swimming pool and Laurance made sure that we had dinner reservations arranged. ||Our room was spacious with a large comfy bed and ensuite - shower was excellent. The room looks onto the gardens / swimming pool and did have a TV but we never had time to watch it. The property is steeped in history and is decorated in a matching style but a number of modern twists.||Breakfast was served in the lounge (or by the swimming pool when its warm enough). There was a lovely selection of fresh baguettes, croissants, cheeses, yogurts, fruit along with juices / tea / coffee.||The property also has its own wine label and works in collaboration with Chateau Lagrezette which is located a mile away. We did pop in for a tasting (which is free) and found their wines generally good.||The hotel is located in the countryside and about 15mins from the centre of Cahors by car - its a great location to explore the many villages in the surrounding area.||

A lovely stay and it was just a shame that we had only booked for 2 nights.

Very quiet and peaceful domain with beautiful gardens and 2 lovely dogs running around. Ideal for relaxing with a good glass of wine and a book in front of the fire place. Be sure to ask Guillaume for the best bottles, he has a great stock!
