The pitch we were given was on a slope which we struggled to find a spot that allowed us to level up correctly. We ended up right at the very front of the pitch which was the narrowest part of the pitch. Would have been a real problem if we were going to put the awning up. The vegetation on this site between the pitches isn't as well established as at the other site in Normandy. Also the pitches on this site are smaller and closer together.
We had a superior pitch with its own bathroom and washing up sink. This is what we get in Normandy. Although we have a full bathroom in our vehicle, the superior is just a very nice luxury to have and we would recommend everyone try's these. A very clean and well maintained bathroom and toilet on your pitch just available for you with plenty of hot water. Yep a pitch ensuite.
Just don't book it on the week we are after a pitch!
The guest service at this site is a lot better than the ones at the other site. There is a restaurant, takeaway and a bar/ cafe here with real friendly helpful staff they also have a Bar/ Cinema. You do need to pre-book the restaurant and they don't open every night.
There is a really well equipped gym as well as an outdoor gym area, otherwise known as an adults play area. Great kids play areas too. Bike hire is also available. They had a free to use kids bouncing castle setup.
There are 3 swimming pools. An outdoor, an indoor and an indoor kids paddling splash pool. All heated but fairly basic, although very clean.
There is a very poorly stocked shop on site but it does have fresh braked goods in the morning, but you have to order them the day before.
Site is generally well maintained and very clean from what we saw. We found a couple of nice walks but you are a long way from any villages if you are thinking of walking into a village.
Our experience of France is that everyone is really friendly and this site is no different - lovely friendly people that really welcome you. If we had visited this Yelloh ! Village site first we would of been overwhelmed. But because we had already visited the other site (several times now) Yelloh ! Village has spoiled us with the quality of that site. So we will always compare any Yelloh ! Village sites to the first one we visited. Actually that site is so good, we compare all sites we visit to it!
We would recommend this site and we may even come again ourselves, as this site is less distance for us to travel to than Normandy.
Happy camping everyone.
