Voyage inoubliable pour les paysages,les saveurs des mets,la gentillesse des mauriciens,le coucher du soleil en terrasse... adresse incontournable ????
Firstly, the warm smiles from each and every staff member we interacted with was always a pleasure. The service, food, drinks, and entertainment were excellent.
They added a special touch on my cousin's birthday by baking a cake for us.
Just be prepared for the long drive to the airport, and the beaches are quiet rocky, which is more of a location issue not really within the resort's control.
Overall, we absolutely had an amazing experience at Canonnier Beachcomber,and we would go back.
À peine monté dans le taxi pour écrire cet avis que la nostalgie nous gagne.
Nous avons passé nos premières vacances en famille avec un bébé de 23M et celles ci resteront inoubliables.
Au de la du paradis qu’est l’île Maurice avec ses couleurs de carte postale, l’hôtel fut pour nous exceptionnel.
Un accueil sans mot pour Annaelle et l’équipe présente ce jour.
Une chambre bien situé, bien qu’on attendait une vue vraiment mer, toutefois manquant un peu de rangement (ceci n’est que de notre goût).
Les services proposés toute au long de la journée sont suffisant voir même dépassent les attentes(excursions style bateau fond de verre comprise dans le forfait, et d’autres encore).
Le service nounou a été EXCEPTIONNEL et j’insiste sur celui ci car jeune parents ça n’est pas toujours évident de laisser son enfant.
Anjou nous a été recommandé par l’hôtel et nous ne manquerons pas à refaire appel à ses services.
Si je pouvais laisser min avis en étant honnête, le seul bémol de notre séjour a été la gestion du transfert privé aéroport hôtel et hôtel aéroport.
Francine a manqué à son travail sur ce dernier et laisse une dernière petite note de mécontentement.
En résumé, famille ou groupe d’amis n’hésitez pas à séjourner au Canonnier c’est vraiment super et chacun y trouve son compte.

Le resto est excellent. Mais difficile de résister aux pâtes et pizzas exceptionnelles.
La vue et le cadre sont magnifiques. Le personnel au petits soins....même le "grand patron".
Le club nautic est génial, mention spéciale à Jonas pour le ski nautique. Vous passerez un merveilleux séjour.

Hôtel et services impeccables
We enjoyed a refreshing cold drink in the pool bar. The whole place feels exotic and immaculate
Sowohl am Anreise und Abreisetag konnten alle Leistungen weiter genutzt werden.
Wir haben es sehr ruhig empfunden, obwohl das Hotel scheinbar ausgebucht war, gab es zu jeder Tageszeit eine freie Liege am Pool und am Strand. Auch beim Essen waren ausreichend Tische frei, dass wir direkt platziert wurden. Lediglich beim Restaurant Navigator hatten wir einen Tag Wartezeit (a la carte Restaurant mit Reservierung).
Das Essen war sowohl für die Kids als für die Erwachsenden sehr ansprechend und abwechslungsreich. Es gab "Standards" jedoch auch Themenabend im Buffettrestaurant.
Sehr gut hat uns der Kidsclub gefallen. Es gab ein sehr vielfältiges Angebot (T-Shirts bemalen, Tennis, Bogenschießen, Wasserspiele, Minigolf) und es wurden auch Ausflüge angeboten, leider sprach das Personal nur Englisch und Französisch.
Serviettes de bain et de toilettes fournies ainsi que tout le nécessaire pour la douche.

Surely the idea of this kind of place is to make your guests enjoy as much as possible? That focus seems to have been lost.
The Reception area is stunning and staffed by friendly and joyful staff, music keep the atmosphere and you can instantly feel on holiday.
They then take you down stairs to the pool area, the hub of the resort. There is no music playing, no joyful atmosphere from the single bar area that only has a few bar stools and is more used by the 8 staff, hanging about.
Opposite, the main buffet and one of the a la carte restaurant (allowing it to transform into an extra buffet area) and serving out of the same kitchen as the buffet. When busy at breakfast and dinner the area is chaotic, not relaxing at all - its only open for 2 hours and seemly could bearly cope with the amount of people. Staff wander around aimlessly, rules change daily as to what they can do with wine, water. They serve house red and white but many servers dont realise there is actually 2 types of both and you dont want them mixed. That said, All inclusive makes the hassle factor a little less.
Navigator by the sea seems to have the better staff, better kitchen and we shared some good moments watching the sunset here (but as plastic is not allowed drinks are served in cardboard cups on the beach) - Food is also a much higher standard and staff are more up to speed - but too often you find them sitting about the guest areas on their phones, rather than attending guests. This is the only 'beach' bar that exists but its usually set for their smart evenings, you almost feel wrong walking in to get a Rum and coke with Sand on your feet.
I actually dont have any issues with the rooms - we had a normal room and it functioned well, the bed was very comfortable and we had nice view of the sea (as well as a great room cleaner)
Activities :- The beach is separated into many different areas, most are pretty rocky, the water goes out 500m at only about 1.5m so safe for standing and reef protected - That said swimming was not recommended on most days (red flag). Neither was any wind sports either due to too much wind, wind in the wrong direction, or not enough water. The sail area is actually far too small to really sail and the aged kayaks and paddle boards are your only real option. They offer free 15 minute ski and wake sessions, but this done in the water of Club Med so hidden from the view of the rest of the guests.
Many activities, in fact are hidden - Archery, Boules, Tennis, even the Volleyball is before the hotel entrance. Its almost as though they are embarrassments. Mini golf also tucked away
The Gym is so small that you can bearly operate the equipment inside - for a Resort of this standing its mearly another box tick to justify the price.
Golf itself doesnt exist at the resort- the course is 10 mins away - for me therefore it CANNOT be a golf resort like other Beachcombers. There is so little communication about it - infact Communication about EVERYTHING is totally misplaced or hard to find - they have printed magazines (saying how eco friendly they are) but dont have a printed doc with basic hotel info - its on an App - which is not the same.
Those that like history, there was an opportunity to make the light house the centre piece - instead its given over to a teen club meaning most that stay, and pay, cannot enjoy it.
And going back to the first point about a relaxing atmosphere for guests - Those that like to sleep in will not - on every day of our stay, from between 7:30 - 8:30 maintenance were either fixing a room, strimming, cutting grass, leaf blowing - all the noises we wanted to escape on a tranquil holiday overlooking the sea.
Of course on your way to breakfast you also need to dodge watering sprinklers getting you wet along each path.
The marketing and expectations do not match the delivery - They should stop trying to cater for all and focus on the things they can do well and lose the other bits.

We regret that you had such an experience during this visit as opposed to what nearly all our guests advise us when they come on a regular basis.
