The hotel has just recently reopened, and it looks amazing, although you can tell they are still working on it. Some minor issues arise, which are normal in brand new rooms and facilities. Soon it will look even better.

The first impression was not good. We had a bad check in experience: the assigned room was not the correct one, and the person who assisted us at first was not very well informed about the hotel, facilities or restaurant opening hours. However, when we explained these issues to the management, they were promptly solved and actions taken.

All personnel, without exception, went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Special thanks to Rajesh at the Concierge Desk, Praveen at the Reception and Mr. Hecker, the Director, for all their help. The person at the Villas´ area of the beach (I´m sorry I don´t remember his name!) is absolutely exceptional and made our stay even better, always kind and attentive. Very special thanks to him. The same applies to the butlers and the villa manager.

The beach is probably one of the best in Mauritius (if not the best). Food is very good, we didn´t try the Chinese, but the other restaurants have a very high food quality. I recommend the All Inclusive package, which includes everything except for the Indian and Chinese restaurants, although you´d receive a 30% discount on them.

The main (and only) pool is very large, heated and beautiful. You can rest, swim or do whatever you want. If you travel with kids they will enjoy it very much, while not disturbing solo travelers or couples without kids as there is space enough for everyone.

The hotel offers a large number of "pop ups and surprises" and there is an experience for everyone. They also offer a wide range of excursions, both private and in group, which we can recommend. They are not cheap, but absolutely worth the money!

If you can afford it, take a villa! They are all absolutely amazing. We will certainly come back as soon as we can!

Wonderful beach, hotel and exceptional service

I was planning to book this hotel and contacted them twice with queries I had before making the reservation. They never bothered to even acknowledge or reply to my messages. I’ve now booked with another hotel instead. If Lux Belle Mare put so little effort into providing good customer service before you’ve booked with them, then I don’t want to see the poor level of service they’d offer during a stay.

My husband and I had a fantastic time at this beautiful hotel. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was attentive and friendly, the rooms beautifully designed, and the beach and ocean were simply stunning.
We can't wait to go back!

Good place to spend some quality time and have great experiences no doubts , BUT one thing I observed was how many times my partner and I got very uncomfortable when we are in a space with many ‘whites people’. Apparently We were the only black guest during our stay and it wasn’t a good experience for us all. First, We couldn’t use the pool due to how we were being looked at, we got to the ice cream place and the people there had to move far away from us. And then at the spar, the lady suggested that i sit in different room apart from the reception where other people were being received and seated with no genuine excuses, but I guess they wanted to attend to their most important guests first, so I sat there for about 2 hrs before I was brought in back when everyone had left only to be told again that I’ll not be having a massage and the pedicure because I didn’t inform them earlier so I had only my fingernails done . The whole experience was too uncomfortable that we got really worried and had to leave. Sadly that was my first time in Mauritius and might be my last. Lux Belle mare gave me a totally bad impression about the country. Belle mare is a nice place with beautiful rooms and clean environment but I wouldn’t recommend it for a black person like me. We has the most amazing time at Lux Belle Mare. My boyfriend took me here for my 25th birthday in June 2022 and it was the most memorable trip. From the minute we arrived, we could not believe the most wholesome treatment we received. The staff really make the place what it is and deserve every piece of recognition. The most humble hospitality, it was beyond what we could imagine. If we could list every staff member we truly would! But special shout out to Elvis, Bilal, Oliver, Sahil, Mohan, Beedyasee, Vikash, Ravin and especially Veena and Jennifer!
The staff did all they could to make my birthday celebrations extra special by organising a birthday breakfast and cocktail making, and a stunning dinner at Amari.
The rooms are stunning, the beaches are stunning. Beautiful water and white clean sand! Plenty of choice for food and the versatility of the buffet is the best you will have.

We will DEFINITELY be back one day!!

Fantástico resort de LUX* estratégicamente situado, que lamentablemente sufrió un trágico incendio que quemó gran parte del resort. Actualmente en fase de reconstrucción y apertura prevista para finales de 2023.

Das Hotel ist wunderschön gelegen, mit perfekten Sandstrand und unbezahlbar gutem Service. Wir waren bereits mehrfach dort, und ich liebe den Blick mittags von der Bar auf das Meer und den wunderschönen Strand. Wir kommen gerne wieder.. ????????????????????????

Nice hotel to relax

Ein wunderschönes Luxus Hotel. Wir waren im Juni für 10 Tage hier. Klasse Service, tolles Essen, wunderschöner Strand. Drei abgetrennte Strandbereiche in dem jeder Platz für sich zum entspannen gefunden hat. Mehrere Restaurants standen für das Mittagessen sowie für das Abendessen zur Verfügung.
Täglich wurde sich um die Hotelanlage gekümmert, von Dreck oder Schmutz, war nichts zu sehen. Am liebsten wären wir gar nicht abgereist.

J'y suis aller petit et j'ai passer un super moment piscine plage un super hôtel de super chambres . je ne me souviens plus du service et du repas mais je conseil cette hôtel .

Un hotel de Luxe avec des prestations impeccables et un buffet Gargantuesque pour le 1er de l'an et carrément une tente sur la plage avec un super groupe top malgré une clientèle un peu guindée !

There was a fire in this hotel on July 2nd 2022, hotel mostly burnt down and it is now closed for the renovation. Nobody was hurt, and all hotel guests were relocated to nearby hotels.

We went for 17 days and we had a great time! The size of the resort is good, not too big, not too small. Rooms are great, but the food was the main highlight, especially the deserts in the main restaurant and the rouge restaurant near the beach. Also, the burgers at the T-Bar were really good.

One recommendation. If you go there, I would recommend you to get water shoes, as there are some small sharp stones in the water.

Een van de mooiste hotels waar wij ooit geweest zijn in de wereld. Een super 5 sterren waardig hotel! Personeel wat super behulpzaam is. Heerlijk gevarieerd eten en prachtige faciliteiten in en om het hotel. Wij raden alles aan wat dit hotel te bieden heeft!

One of the best holiday's ever, the hotel and staff were outstanding. The food quality was 10/10. The room was cleaned very very well everyday with disturbing us.

Very beautiful resort. Very clean and the rooms are cozy and nice. The resort is big and there are different types of rooms for sure. It’s calm especially at night. There are some water activities and some of them for free. The beach is beautiful but it depends on what time of the year. I went in June it was ok. I think in summer it will be better. June is winter there. They clean the room 2 times a day and they care about your stay and being happy and comfortable. I strongly suggest this place to anyone going to Mauritius. the food at the resort was ok but not the best. I took bed and breakfast because I like to try different food out of the resort. And that’s the best thing I did.

C'est horrible. L'hôtel Lux Bel Mare à brûlé sous nos yeux Samedi 2 Juillet 2022 vers 11h30 du matin. Il ne reste rien de l'hôtel. Seul le restaurant du bord de plage est épargné. ???????????????? Je suis triste pour ce bel hôtel. Moi je sejournais à côté au The Résidence. Il faudra du temps pour reconstruire et remettre en service cet hôtel. ????????

We got married at Lux Belle Mare and i can say it was the best experience. Our lovely wedding coordinator, Jennifer, was amazing ???? The wedding preparation and ceremony were stress free thanks to Jennifer.

The stay at the hotel was one of the best with very friendly staff and one of the best buffets in a 5 star hotel.

The room we stayed was very spacious with a walk in wardrobe but it seemed a bit old and the bathroom definitely in need of an update but still an enjoyable stay. The pillows and the mattress were the best we ever had in a hotel.

The spa area is great and we had a very relaxing massage.

I think this is a good place for children too as the beach is huge and the water calm . The swimming pool has different levels of depths with a lit of it on the shallow side .

The staff is the friendliest i ever seen in a hotel and genuine nice and helpful.

Food is great in restaurants but dinners at the buffet are the best and different each evening.

Overall a great wedding holiday.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at LUX* Belle Mare in June 2022. Our stay was simply fabulous! For a start, the hotel looks amazing, stylish, spotless clean, and counts with amazing facilities. Because it was our honeymoon, the hotel provided us with amazing activities, dinners and such a lux treatment we'll never forget. They are so attentive, they don't miss even the smallest detail. I've never been in a place that works so well! Nothing fails! The resort is divine (pool area and bars) but the beach is one of the best in all of Mauritius. Big and wide, full of sun beds. Towels are provided, and you have staff helping you at all times. All the restaurantes are amazing. Each day they serve different types of food from all over the world, plus they have two great restaurants, even one with a Michelin Star! Everything from the rooms, to the spa, breakfast service, cocktails... The whole hotel is outstanding, but I have to say the best feature of this hotel is the vibe and the staff. A million thanks to Aniell, the concierge, and everyone who works here. You are the driving force of this place. We can't wait to go back and enjoy more of Mauritius and its people. What a spectacular place! Absolutely unbelievable!!
