The piano room in the hotel most of the time was empty. I checked the room several times after going to the gym at 10 am and later in afternoon at 3ish pm. There were no one there… I am still in correspondence with an assistant manager, it was such a bad experience. He ignores my emails because we checked out. This hotel is top class for rejecting their guest’s needs. They simply don't care about you.
This was my second time staying at The Ned NoMad and it certainly didn’t live up to my expectations, as well as the sound proofing between rooms needing work which I experienced on my first visit, this time around I had pipes that at odd hours including in the early hours of the morning would start making horrendous wailing noises keeping me awake. By the third night I’d had enough and went to reception to request a fix (including playing them a recording i’d made) and was told they couldn’t move me but could send an engineer but couldn’t tell me when or if the problem would be fixed. After returning to reception 2 hours later I was told they hadn’t taken note of this conversation and didn’t know about it but would be happy to move me. I could only manage to pack everything that evening and in the meantime received an email by Keiry (assistant front office manager) saying that I’d be upgraded to a ‘deluxe room’, I was pleased but once all packed and moved (which is a hell of a lot of effort mid trip) realised this was a smaller room and same room layout I’d had on my first trip to the Ned which had a terrible with the shower in the bedroom. At least the pipes were quiet but having to move mid stay is stressful and unpleasant (+ moving to a worse room)!
The front desk and conceirge staff were very attentive and helpful. The cleaning ladies and doormen were kind. And the location is super convenient.
The only downside is that the window couldn’t block all the noise from outside. It was still ok for me but maybe not for the sensitive people
