Great location in the village next to Washington Square Park. Lots of restaurants nearby, subway line a minute walk away.

Rooms are comfortable but cozy - our room was very quiet and the beds comfortable which made for a good sleep.

We have been staying at the Washington Square Hotel for the last 5 years because of its location to our daughter's school. The inside of the hotel is completely dated. The mattresses are warped and uncomfortable. There are only outlets on one side of the bed. There is no fan in the bathroom. The carpet in the hall was being sprayed while we were there for what I do not know but it needs to be ripped up and removed.

Great experience!!!! As many have said, this was a great hotel. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is great. We love the West Village and this is a great place to stay. These are NYC hotel rooms and they are typically smaller than mid-west hotel rooms so plan accordingly. That being said, we were quite comfortable.

Location! Location! Location! Plus... a sweet room and friendly staff. We wanted to stay in the Village and this hotel is the perfect spot. The room looked EXACTLY as it is on their website so there are no surprises. I appreciate this. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Of course, things could be updated a bit, but for the price and the location we were very satisfied. We had a fabulous time and would stay here again.

Room 306 is quiet. Too hard bed. Gym is OK, good elliptical. No breakfast.

A classic New York hotel in a prime location for tourist visits. Located directly at Washington Square Park, there are countless smaller restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity, a little away from mass tourism.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms are a little old, but clean throughout. The beds were good, as was the water pressure in the shower. Otherwise the usual equipment.

We got a very good price through a booking portal, 40% of the normal price during the holidays.

We were able to easily alter our reservation because of impending storm. Staff impressively polite. Only complaint? No comfy chair in room. Great location.

Small family run hotel. Not 4 star but perfectly fine for the price. Linens and towels great quality. Staff great. Bit of a deeper clean to the bathroom grouting for example would go a long way. Would stay again though.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The service was great and the rooms were nice and clean as well. There is a gym on-site and they included slippers and robes in the closet. I'd definitely stay here again.

A great hotel with very attentive and helpful staff. From the frontdesk, valet, house keeping and bartender Alex provided excellent service.
I highly recommend this hotel. I will go back in middle of May for another visit.
