After a terrible bout of food poisoning somewhere in Trapani or Erice, we changed plans and took refuge at Almar for a few days.

It was exactly what I needed for a peaceful and speedy recovery. I'd give it 5 stars, but the overall grounds are a little old and the whole place has a vibe of Yesterday's glamour.
It does have a quiet charm, which I think appeals to an older customer base.
The Spa itself is state of the art and we got to enjoy the pools and saunas, though it got pretty busy at times in the sauna rooms (since there are only 2). Also a decorative pool in the hallway, inexplicably had drywall all the way into the water, which was crumbling. Weird little detail, but definitely something you'd think a 5 star hotel would see to.

The rooms were nice and spacious. We had a frescoed and wood beam ceiling too.
The lobby and balcony bar is beautiful and relaxing.
The outdoor bar near the pool was excellent. Yummy food and drinks, good sun.

The main restaurant was decent, albeit a little uninspired during dinners - would be nice if they rotated menus every other day, since the same selection of dishes got a little repetitive after the second dinner.

The staff are 10/10, outstanding - especially the front desk. One of the bell boys was legendary. I hope he is doing well, young man works hard and has an outstanding disposition.

The only real issue I had was with the Lido/private beach they offer. Granted, it was late in the season but the whole area around it was derelict, the restaurant shuttered, and the beach itself is between rocky outcrops, away from the sun, and didn't feel right. No sand or pebbles, but what looked like compacted dirt under the beach umbrellas...We turned right around and went back to the pool at the hotel.

Overall, not bad. Especially if you're looking for peace and quiet. I'll give it 5 stars after the next renovation.

But that bell boy 10/10.

Das Hotel und der Service haben unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Die Anlange ist gepflegt, der Empfang ist herzlich und das Zimmer luxuriös. Der kühle und gute Wein als Willkommensgruss passte hervorragend zum sommerlichen Ambiente. Die Küche hat vom Frühstück bis zum Abendessen überzeugt. So haben wir eine schöne Urlaubswoche verbracht. Was uns nicht so gut gefallen hat, war der Umstand dass am Hotelstrand schon alles geschlossen war und am Strand doch recht viel Seegrass angespült lag. Zum schwimmen eignet sich der Strand auch weniger, da im Wasser viel Seegrases wächst. Andere Strandbereiche an der Küste sind da einfacher schöner. Zudem muss man sich darauf einstellen dass außerhalb der Hotelanlage viel Müll am Straßenrand liegt. Das war bei den Ausflügen in der näheren Umgebung leider stets so. Das steht dieser schöner Insel einfach nicht gut zu Gesicht und ist sehr schade.

Oggi 23 agosto 2023, ho visitato per la prima volta il resort Giardino di Costanza a Mazara del Vallo, una struttura stupenda, personale professionale, cortese e gentile, una piscina grande e ben pulita, comodo parcheggio, i prezzi sono medio/alti allineati a ciò che Ti offrono, credo anche giusti. Consiglio al 100%

Sono stato ospite da voi con mia moglie. Cibo squisito , vino superbo , servizio impeccabile . Mi sono sentito a casa . Ah il cannolo siciliano è stato una festa per il palato complimenti … Personale gentile ed accorto in tutto, sempre disponibile. La pulizia di tutta la struttura impeccabile, ci hanno chiesto se dopo il riposo pomeridiano sentivamo la necessità delle lenzuola pulite, una accortezza che in poche strutture ho riscontrato..torneremo quanto prima !!!!

Struttura magnifica, équipe più che competente e a disposizione h24, camere grandi e con tutti i sevizi necessari, colazione eccellente, piscina strapulita….pool bar meraviglioso…non ho più complimenti talmente il nostro soggiorno è stato perfetto in questa struttura !

Nous avons passé 10 jours au sein de cet hotel fort agréable
Les chambres sont très belles et le service assez exceptionnel

Le personnel est particulièrement charmant ; le spa superbe (le sauna récent est magnifique)

Je tiens à preciser que la propreté est vraiment exceptionnelle (dans les petits détails…)
Les prestations sont de grandes qualités

L.emplacement est à l’écart de zones touristiques et assez isolé

Au final un très bel endroit pour se reposer et se ressourcer (cours collectifs de yoga et pilates inclus dans les prestations… ) et une volonté de bien faire des équipes exceptionnelles

…was für ein schönes Gefühl zu sehen, dass man sich nicht geirrt hat!
Eine Traumanlage mit all dem was man sich nur wünschen kann um abzuschalten.
4 Tage Entspannung pur …alles war perfekt…
Service (Letizia, Gaia, Antonino… und alle anderen… sorry wenn ich mir nicht alle Namen merken könnte), Anlage, Speisen….Pool… spa…usw….
