Rooms are very basic and in disrepair.
TV didn't work, air con was broken. Lady on reception was really helpful though.
Perfect for travel to Valletta , St Julian's etc.

I was expecting 3-4 star Hotel. ITS NOT A HOTEL FEEL AT ALL. Management is a thief - and most ignorant to guest concerns and staff follow ups - over charges, doesn’t marry up to online advertising. Doesn’t respond to concerns and leaves it to forever changing front desk staff with too many foreign accents to get passed a hello to try and address any complaint. 2 days to wait for just an iron (no board), communal kitchen was so appalling, sudden influx of groups squeezed in (under age) with inadequate supervision forcing other guests to put up with their noisy and inappropriate behavior while we were suddenly pushed out of kitchen because of their booking. That was a nightmare. They closed off kitchen exclusive to these young groups enough to lock up safety access to stairs incase emergency. They didn’t even realise that until I called. On arrival (twin w seaview balcony) I had a bedside desk hanging off a wall. Floor was filthy. 1 chair. No chairs w table on balcony. PowerPoints inadequate Lift broke down twice (we were on top floor. My mother is 75!). Every reception on duty have their own way of working. Own systems. Doctor on call isn’t true. That’s false advertising also. Reception at 4am can only tell me of what she knows personally about a contact for a Dr. Too much guessing was her only way to help. Clearly night staff have no access to necessary resources as day staff. Other receptionists are inexperienced. Housekeeping staff & maintenance staff (a couple of receptionists) are friendly and willing to please (all foreigners - only 1 Maltese who seems isolated from the system or team) & work very hard to satisfy you but due to lack of any response from management - no leadership quality, all they do is say sorry. It’s a dog breakfast in there. Well over priced. Unreasonably calculated. A big fail. Only good thing was it’s location. Strong winds are unforseeable and expected. Door to get in and out of balcony tho was way too heavy and stiff to open and close. Far from any hotel service. Kitchen facilities was next to ZERO!! Water pressure in shower was hanging by a thread. Inadequate safety and inconsistent hygiene measures top to bottom. Less then basic. Needs a complete overhaul. Owner/management are not in any position to improve. Their location is their only means of getting the traffic and income.
Stay clear from it if you’re expecting cleanliness and minimal kitchen facilities to store a little milk and drinking water. You got very little luck and no guarantee whatsoever with a thing. Even pricing of rooms fluctuated on me without adequate warning. Addressing my concerns seemed an utter waste of my time. It’s clear on receptions faces (between all their cigarette breaks) that they just don’t know what else can be done after relaying our concerns. They have nothing to come back to us with. Very awkward.
Next time, I pay the price for decent accommodation. Stupid me for putting up with it. My poor mum was trying to stay positive and kept quiet for me. The location was the only thing that kept her wanting to stay there. She was ‘afraid’ of confrontation and each night was just closer to leaving it. Big shame. Too much complaining on my end to eventually have other measures taken to see us thru the booking.
(The Preluna or the AX Palace next time!… I’ve now done the homework)
