Avis IL FALCHETTO Rome

This was the worst food experience and the most expensive one I had so far. I had
Lamb chops with potatoes and chicory. The lamb was a bit dry, potatoes too salty and chicory tasted like someone spilled a lot of peper on it - but to be fair It might be just how it tastes normally, I do not have much experience with that.
My wife was happy with her gnocchi (that's why I ask giving two starts instead of one) and the waiters were friendly, but I was not and I left half of the food on the plate.

Ho mangiato in diversi posti in questo mondo, Europa, Asia,America ma non mi e’mai successo una cosa simile. Partiamo dal fatto che eravamo 4 persone, ci hanno detto di aspettare e ci hanno messo in un angolo in una stanza piccolissima con un altra famiglia vicino ( massimo 30 cm tra i tavoli), quando starnutivano si spargevano i microbi per tutta la stanza, io volevo alzarmi ed andare via ma le persone con cui ero a tavola hanno insistito di rimanere dicendo:magari il cibo e’ buono. Abbiamo ordinato la pasta carbonara e ho chiesto al cameriere espressamente quanto dura fineche’ ci arrivi il cibo perché eravamo un po’ di fretta, volevamo visitare la città. Ha detto che in 20 minuti al massimo o trenta.Tutto ok sembrava, dopo 5 minuti e’ venuto sorridendo( era un sorriso falso) con una ciotola con un po di pane con olio d’ olive per assaggiare intanto che si preparava il pranzo,non c’ entrava niente con la pasta che volevamo mangiare, abbiamo assaggiato al massimo 2 fette(credendo che fosse da parte del ristorante, perché nessuno lo aveva chiesto).
E’ arrivata la pasta, molto grassa, ho mangiato anche in altri posti in Italia la ricetta originale ma questa era esageratamente grassa, il guanciale era ormai amaro da quanto era bruciato. Abbiamo chiesto lo scontrino e quando ho letto, mi sono accorto che ci hanno messo anche il pane, il quale non lo avevamo chiesto noi, al prezzo di 11 euro!! Mi sono sentito derubato come turista e come persona, non me lo aspettavo da un ristorante sul quale ho letto che aveva una buona reputazione. Non ho fatto una sceneggiata perché non ero da solo ma lo meritavano, i prezzi non erano comunque bassi ma fare questi trucchi mi sembra una vera rapina. Spero che sia stata una brutta esperienza solo per noi ma in futuro eviteremo il ristorante.

¡Qué experiencia maravillosa he tenido en el restaurante Il Falchetto en Roma! Desde la pasta de frutos del mar espectacular hasta la atención especial y la amabilidad del dueño, Donato, cada aspecto parece haber sido memorable. Es genial saber que Donato, un italiano que vivió en Venezuela, agregó un toque personal y acogedor a mi experiencia, noten en el menú el ron diplomático de Venezuela. Parece ser un lugar que vale la pena visitar para disfrutar de una deliciosa comida y un servicio excepcional. Lo recomiendo.

Fantastic restaurant, delicious food and very nice elegant serving. The staff is experienced and they offer impeccable care for the guests. It was such a pleasant experience having lunch at Il Falchetto, they are top quality in everything!

This reaturant saved the honor of italian hospitality during my city visit in Rome. Few places visited but only there I have founded smile and real care about my satisfaction. Special thanks to waiter Valentino (I hope I have not mixed name - if yes sorry!). His honest personality and care was heart touching and made me wish to come back to Rome, even only to be served again by him. Food very very very good. I got the dish that it was not in the menu, just because Tagliatelle with parmigiano - was that what for I had a taste that day. Once again thank you very much for the time spend in Falchetto!

What an amazing place, food was a 10/10 definitely a hidden gem.

Service has been bad, I don't know if it was the first day of each waiter but memory is required skill to do the job. And please the food ???? gnocchi were a joke, and carbonara was cheap. So if you want a tourist trap, it's the perfect place ????

Mon mari et moi y avons déjeuner aujourd'hui et nous sommes ravis.
Le service est impeccable et la cuisine divine.
Seul bémol, mon mari n'a demandé que deux verres de vin et le serveur lui en a versé un troisième, facturé, bien sûr !!
Nous y retournons vendredi, dernier jour de notre séjour Romain pour garder un très bon souvenir sur nos papilles.
Je recommande vivement !!!
