EDEN ROC HOTEL

I have some feedback regarding a few things that were not the best:
1. The pools close at 6pm. This is disappointing. As expensive at this hotel is, guests should have the ability to explore the pool at a MUCH later time, even after dark. I was very disappointed to hear the pools closed this early.
2. I really wish the Ocean Social Restaurant was not affiliated with this hotel. We paid for continental breakfast and was forced to eat at this on-site restaurant that we had a terrible experience at almost every day that we went. From the service, to the quality of food, to the pricing, my husband and I have to give the Ocean Social a below 1-star rating. See my separate review for that. However, for breakfast options, we had no other options to explore because we already pre-paid for the breakfast package and the Eden Roc Hotel uses the Ocean Social for their guests to eat at. Plus, even with the pre-paid breakfast options, they only limit your breakfast choices to THREE options to choose from, and of course, they are the CHEAPEST things on the menu! Horrible experience at this restaurant.
3. I think it is a bit ridiculous to hold $200 deposit PER night. I understand the purpose for deposits and how it protects the hotel, however, as tourists coming from Ohio, spending an additional $800 for deposits including the $2150 total for the 4 nights is a lot.
Overall, the hotel had magnificent views, was very clean, had great staff, and provided us with an excellent experience in Miami. We would definitely recommend and come revisit.
