1. I got in around 9PM the toilet was clogged. I called the desk they said they would send someone up. I called back at 9:30 and she said that the maintenance person was not here and her coworker was trying to find a plunger (In this size hotel, no one can find a plunger?) I stated I had to go to bed and she said she would tell someone for the morning. I had to get up and go downstairs in the middle of the night to use the restroom. At 5 AM I went downstairs to find a plunger. I found the security guard who proceeded to hand me a plunger wrapped in a trash bag with disgusting water in the bottom of the bag. I grabbed it from him and he said I get off at 6 so I wont be here when you bring it back. BRING IT BACK! Uh, no, I will not be walking through the hotel with a bag of poo water and a plunger any longer than I needed to. I reminded the front desk girl in the AM before leaving to send someone to the room because the plunger did not work and there was an issue with the toilet. She signed me up for some text thing and said she would text me when it was done. I never got a text so, while eating dinner I called and asked if my toilet was fixed, to which the girl on the phone said, oh let me send them right now…WHAT
2. The room was smelly like mildew - maybe time to get rid of the carpet or upgrade the Air conditioner.
3. My coffee station in the room was on the ground level of the shelf. Who wants to use a coffee maker that sits an inch off the floor? I went to the lobby for coffee it was tiny cups, plain creamer just not very “Hilton”
4. On the website, it states that transportation to the airport is from 7AM - 10:00PM. I went to the lobby at 6:43 to be sure I made it on the shuttle and the girl told me, oh the shuttle left at 6:35 and wont be back until 7:30. Another couple came down shortly after me and were told the same thing. I had to pay for a Lyft to the airport. Unacceptable.
5. The reception girls were very nice, but apologies only go so far. They should have alerted management with my situation in my opinion.
I will not stay at this property again. What is interesting is that I get surveys for every Hilton I stay at and have not gotten a survey for this hotel, which is why I went to Google Reviews.
First, you should know this location is renovating and there is a smell of dust on the first floor. The room was small, half the size of a regular room. The shower was small. I kept banging into the shower door while bathing. They should have charged half the price on my bill, since everything was down sized. Speaking of bill, check your statement for frivolous charges, cause they will charge you an incidental charge, what's that! I went to the front desk and complained, to no avail. The manager on duty this past Sunday morning was untrained in customer service. When she was told, that I would never stay here again. She replied, "OKAY"! Hilton management How about training your staff in empathy.
I expected a lot more from a Hilton staff member.
I paid too much money to receive lack luster accommodation and service. If I could give ZERO stars, I would.
