Tive a oportunidade de me hospedar no Santa Bárbara Eco Beach Resort durante minha recente visita à ilha de São Miguel, e a experiência foi absolutamente incrível. Desde o momento da chegada até a nossa partida, fomos tratados com um nível excepcional de hospitalidade e atenção aos detalhes.

O resort é um verdadeiro refúgio, localizado em uma posição privilegiada que oferece vistas deslumbrantes do Oceano Atlântico. A integração com a natureza é palpável, com design e arquitetura que respeitam o meio ambiente, criando um ambiente tranquilo e sereno. Nossa acomodação era espaçosa, confortável e bem equipada, oferecendo todo o conforto necessário para uma estadia relaxante.

Um dos destaques da nossa estadia foi a culinária. O restaurante do resort serve pratos deliciosos que destacam os produtos locais frescos, proporcionando uma verdadeira viagem gastronômica pela culinária açoriana.

As atividades disponíveis são variadas, desde surf na famosa praia de Santa Bárbara até relaxar nas piscinas infinitas com vista para o mar. Cada dia foi uma nova aventura, explorando a beleza natural que São Miguel tem a oferecer.

Em suma, o Santa Bárbara Eco Beach Resort não é apenas um lugar para ficar, mas uma experiência completa que enriquece sua visita aos Açores. Recomendo fortemente a quem busca uma combinação perfeita de luxo, natureza e cultura. Definitivamente, espero voltar em breve.

It’s a heaven on earth, the view is exceptional. At the arrival in the evening we got a small gift - tea bags with a goodnight tea and a calming down spray to apply on the pillows. Adorable detail and very thoughtful!

Spa area is small, but incredibly pretty.

We loved Claudia from the reception who gave us great tips on the best spots of the Sao Miguel. Claudia, you rock!

Un 10. Es un lujo de hotel, en todos los aspectos. Las habitaciones son amplias, la cama comodísima, con terraza e incluso un pequeño salón. Todo muy bien decorado. Las zonas comunes y la piscina son muy tranquilos, y las vistas a la playa no tienen precio. 100% recomendable para pasar unas vacaciones en Sao Miguel.

Einfach schön. Mehr kann man fast nicht sagen. Unser Zimmer mit Whirlpool war ein Traum. Das Essen mega lecker und vor allem muss man die Cocktails genießen. Das gesamte Personal war wirklich nett und immer hilfsbereit!

We were very very disappointed with our stay here. If you know what a 4-star resort should be like, and you expect that, you will be disappointed too. If you are simply looking for a beautiful view, and somewhere close to the ocean, then perhaps this will not disappoint. After all, the view is stunning and the bed is fine.

In terms of this resort, the room was spacious, however we had several complaints which I'll detail below:
-A major insect problem; No screens on doors/windows; No room service; poor room cleaning; terrible food; no paper towels or extra towels; insufficient kitchen supplies to cook, rude staff.

First, we had a major insect problem. Not only were flies everywhere (we are talking at least a dozen inside the room upon check-in), but also beetles and centipedes. When I called to ask about it, they said that it is fly season and there is nothing they can do except spray a smelly chemical. A few thoughts would be: 1) provide a fly swatter, 2) leave a note about the flies for guests to read, 3) install SCREENS on the doors and windows (no, there are no screens), 4) leave fly traps and sticky patches to catch flies, 5) ensure trash receptacles can close. Unfortunately, due to the fly situation, we spent our entire stay with the doors closed. We spent no time outside, and could not enjoy the sound of the water or our private hot tub. Even despite keeping doors sealed shut, we continued to have a fly problem for our entire 4-day stay.
Food during off-hours (say 1pm, 3pm, 5pm) was disgusting (think cold cheese sandwiches and stale chips, low quality), and hot chocolate from a mix. The breakfast buffet was disorganized, messy, and unclean. I did not feel comfortable eating much of anything, and it seemed poorly managed. There was no such thing as room service, they provided no pool/hot tub towels, there were no paper products in the room to clean-up bug guts, the trash setup was several plastic bags left open to attract yet more insects.

Staff were unpleasant, and not hospitality minded. Overall, we felt like this was a motel-quality establishment dressed up to look like a 4-star resort. It was not luxurious, and the only thing it has going for it is the view (which yes, is stunning). We would NOT stay here again.

Wir waren nur im Restaurant essen , da keine Zimmer mehr zur Verfügung standen .
Es war hervorragend. Wir sind noch ein zweites Mal hin . Wir würden die Vorspeise und Hauptspeise teilen , da es für eine Person zu viel ist .
Den rote Beete Salat würde ich nicht empfehlen dafür den Fischmousse mit Fischroggen .
Netter Service . Du kannst dich entscheiden innen oder außen zu sitzen .
Die Stühle waren mir zu tief . Dafür bekam ich ein Sitzkissen .

Came here for dinner and drinks- the food was on the more expensive side for the island. Was well presented and a novel fusion of modern and traditional seafood, however it was overly salty in my opinion. Good service, but not 5 star service compared to high end restaurants in the US or EU, definitely above average for the island

Beautiful unique resort. On a very nice beach. Would recommend. There were shockingly a ton of kids for a luxury resort. Not within walking distance to anything but the beach.

I had the most amazing stay at Santa Barabara Eco Resort in August 2023. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the views from the resort were stunning, and the staff was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Shoutout to Vitor and Inez (from the front desk). They really made our trip by helping us plan excursions and giving us recommendations during our time on the island. We loved the bar in the lobby and had a drink there each night. The vibes were great. The resort is on the North coast of the island so we had to drive a bit to activities and restaurants but it was worth it!

Beautiful Beach. Not easily walkable but easy drive. My favorite beach to go to.
