The main draw of this hotel is its stunning location, and the service and rooms are also so great. The front desk was always so helpful and had great recommendations for food and hikes. I could have stood on our balcony, or on the hotel deck, or in the heated infinity pool all day and watched the waves break below.

We stayed at the Villa and had a terrific experience. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable and tried to accommodate and help in any way they could. We really loved it and would recommend it.

I think it was definitely my best vacation ever! White is the best place to take a break from the world. The suit is amazing. Breakfast and dinner is great! I loved the location! The staff were just SUPER! I miss that place already. Don't hesitate.

The team at White made us feel instantly at home, we were welcomed and well taken care of for the entirety of our stay. We've fallen in love with Sao Miguel and it's all thanks to each person at White. Every day we'd get personalised recommendations on where to go, what to see and what to avoid to make the most of our time on the island. Communication was effortless as the team gave us a phone to talk to them with - very responsive and helpful every time we spoke. The suite was beautiful and uncluttered with rich details and textures - a real calm retreat after a day filled with lots of sites and scenery. Every person that works at White are friendly, helpful and accommodating even our airport pickup created such a wonderful impression. This was by far our most favourite part of our holiday. Thank you to Sandra (for helping us arrange a rental car and welcoming us to white), João (for personalised tips on where to go on the island), Rodrigo (for making a proper martini and chatting to my husband for hours while I was resting and recovering from a flu) and each and everyone of you for treating us so special during our stay. Highly recommended for amazing service and incredible suite.

This was so bad, I almost don't know how to describe it.
The whole thing started of okay. The place is beautiful and the restaurant looks nice.
The waiter had one table, ONE table, since we were the only ones there.

First it turned out that they have only one kind of beer.
Then it turned out that the waiter was offended by my better half's wish to drink only water. The rest of us ordered wine, and we had to get up and fetch the bottle ourselves when our glasses were empty. He did not offer once to refill the water bottles.

The fish was dry, the mussles were like rubber and the portions were small. The meal was mediocre and nothing special. The restaurant is expensive for Portugal/Azores, but the quality was questionable

Short summary: beautiful surroundings, waiter who offers no service. Bland and subpar food and expensive.

Would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

We absolutely cannot recommend White enough. The hotel feels secluded and private while still being close enough to great restaurants for dinner in the evenings. The heated pool was such a treat after a day of exploring. We adored all the staff - seriously the best customer service we have ever experienced. The team stayed late to welcome us when our flight was delayed, our breakfast hosts remembered our preferences, and Joao went above and beyond to help us make sure our daily itinerary was sound. He spent time with us each morning reviewing the details of the weather and local cameras at the main tourist attractions to help shape our itinerary for the day. Truly incredible experience and would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely phenomenal! Everything about this place exudes luxury and perfection. We can’t wait to come back!

This is an incredible place. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and everything was an absolute dream, especially the service and the breathtaking location and beauty of the hotel itself. The entire time we felt like we were completely secluded in a gorgeous way, and totally pampered. Can’t say enough about the service - Sara, Sandra, Joao and the whole team always went above and beyond for us on everything we asked about. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious location.

One of the best places to stay on Azores

We splurged and spent a night here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were disappointed with how much it cost for the value of the place. The hotel is beautiful, stunning location and the food at the restaurant was incredible. However, the air conditioning in our room malfunctioned and we were substituted with a mobile replacement at the last minute (23:00) before staff went home for the night. Our mobile air conditioning unit was extremely loud and leaked a huge pool of water across our room in the middle of the night which we had to clean up ourselves as there is no overnight staff. When we explained this to the staff in the morning we were met with an apology and nothing else. Also disappointed that a bottle of sparkling wine and a full dessert plate were brought to our room twenty minutes after we had already ordered, paid for and eaten desserts we ordered because we had given up on getting anything complimentary for our anniversary as it was close to 22:00. Definitely not worth the cost to stay unless you’re willing to pay top dollar for privacy. We spent our remaining nights at a hotel that was 1/4 the price, had way better service and amenities with just as nice of a view and a better location.

Wir haben unsere ersten Tage auf der Insel im White verbracht und hatten ein sehr großes Zimmer mit Badewanne/Dusche und einer kleinen versteckten Kochecke mit Sitzmöglichkeit. Das Hotel liegt wirklich direkt am Meer, sodass man wunderbar den Wellen lauschen kann. Es war alles sehr sauber und gepflegt! Unser Badezimmerbereich inklusive der Toilette war durch einen Vorhang abgetrennt.

Der Infinitypool war uns zu dieser Zeit etwas zu frisch. Doch durch die geringe Anzahl an Zimmern, kann man gut auf den Whirlpool ausweichen von dem aus man ebenfalls einen atemberaubenden Blick hat.
Die wenigen Zimmer führen dazu, dass man sehr für sich sein kann.
Das White ist ein Hotel, welchem für Paare sehr gut geeignet ist.

Hervorheben muss man hier definitiv das gesamte Personal! Super freundlich und sympathisch und absolut hilfsbereit. Ein Service wie man ihn sich wünscht. Immer ein Lächeln für einen bereit und ganz offensichtlich Freude bei der Arbeit! Weiter so ????

Das Frühstück, sowie das Abendessen haben uns ebenfalls überzeugt.

We had an unforgettable stay in a beautiful boutique hotel that stands on a cliff with amazing views, and is perfectly centered in the island to go west or east and discover the marvels of the island. Located less than 15 minutes by car from Ponta Delgada city centre, this may be in my view the best place to stay for a truly relaxing romantic experience.
All the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The breakfast is a gourmet experience that proves that quality wins over quantity. The infinity warmed pool is beautiful and so it is the outside jacuzzi facing the Atlantic ocean and the beautiful horizon line. The hotel pampered us with a beautiful and delicious birthday cake and champagne.
We stayed at a junior suite on the ground floor that accessed directly the beautiful patio facing the sea. The room was very comfortable and had a kitchenette area. There were thoughtful little things like umbrellas in the room and lobby for guests to take during their stay (as the weather was a bit unpredictable) and a straw basket with pool towels that was very useful for our nocturne and evening moments on the jacuzzi. We also used the basket to visit Terra Nostra's hot springs.
I can say that it was one of the most beautiful hotels where I stayed and the Island has a mystical aura with all it beauty of sea, lagoons, lush green forests and parks, dramatic landscapes that take one's breath away.
Finally a special thank you to Ms Sandra Rodrigues that saved our early departing morning,preparing us an excellent breakfast before 7.30 am when the kitchen staff had not yet arrived.
Beautiful experience . The only less positive thing was the lack of power of the shower and one needed to wait a few minutes until the water would run hot.
