Adresse jeune et fun à Pajé, Mr Kahawa est d’abord un café restaurant idéal pour déjeuner, avec à la carte des plats légers : salades, wraps, sandwiches, smoothies, excellent café et wifi, dans un esprit healthy, et green, ainsi que des spécialités levantines. On aime la terrasse en escalier sous de grands arbres avec des banquettes et des coussins devant la plage, la salle à l'ambiance coworking et la déco arty. On y sert un excellent café expresso. Le mardi, un trio de blues inspiré anime les lieux et un menu spécial de tapas gastronomiques est proposé.

Mr. Kahawa Waterfront est un havre de paix pour les voyageurs actifs, curieux et conscients depuis 2006 lors de la création de Kite Centre Zanzibar, la première école de kitesurf à Paje. Maintenant, vous pouvez aussi profiter de leur café-restaurant proposant un café primé, des plats nourrissants et des cocktails innovants. Détendez-vous sous l'emblématique amandier en contemplant les marées changeantes du lagon. Profitez de leurs espaces de travail et de détente, et ne manquez pas les splendides événements de musique live. Choisissez entre des lofts de luxe avec vue sur l'océan, des chambres le long de jardins fleuris et de leur grande piscine, ou leur villa privée en bord de plage à Dongwe.

The quality of food has drastically reduced. I ordered the island salad which was dry and bland, and no it is not because I have a different taste. I did ask for extra dressing but it took over 30mins to come. Plus the 45min waiting for the food to come in the first place. I did like the deconstructed pavlova though.
The view which was once amazing is not taken over by kites on the beach and a stream of acrobats. So if you are not into either of these, you should probably find a different place to eat.
The service is poor. The waiteress seemed to be annoyed and never came back after asking for more dressing.
The monkeys peeing everywhere is annoying.
2017 review: I absolutely love this place. Depending on what your order, the food can be either really good or terrible. I've had both experiences. The bread is the best! The pancakes were really bad and the yogurt-museli was way way way to sweet. I like that the write "straws on request" but hate that they still provide even if not requested.
Die ganze Anlage besticht durch viele gut durchdachte Details und der Service ist durchweg hervorragend.
Wir genossen das mehr als ausreichende, sehr vielfältige Frühstück jeden Morgen direkt am Meer.
Es gibt eine Yogaplattform mit Ausblick aufs Meer, wirklich schön!
Fußläufig unzählige tolle Lokale und ein kurzer Spaziergang ins Dorf.

About the Ocean plater dish , what can I say, just a real joke as you can see in the picture: ond and a half small calamari ring, and a rest of an baby octopus ; the rest 90% bread; and the potatoes seemed like were cooked yesterday ????
But besides the horrible food was the fact that the waiter started counting the money from the bill without even asking for a second why we were leaving without having touched our food.
I don't understand all the encouraging reviews at all.
