Plus de soixante ans d'expérience et toujours présent au milieu des adresses branchées de la capitale et dans une rue où les restaurants rivalisent (au 1er étage, Ribice i tri Tockice), cet établissement propose des spécialités dalmates et plus largement de la côte adriatique. Une cuisine du pêcheur, soupe, carpaccio, poisson du jour grillé, crustacés, bien sûr, légumes méridionaux mais aussi les fameux gâteaux traditionnels de Korčula. Attention cependant, le pain est payant ! Carte impressionnante des vins de l'île ou de la péninsule de Pelješac.

The restaurant is of a slow-food kind. There weren't many guests and waiters didn't hurry to stuff our faces with food, they rather let us to enjoy the moment. Maybe, if the waiter came around and asked us how we liked the wine (it is a regular habit that after you get your table served, the waiter comes around and asks whether everything is in good order, but not so much in this place), I'm sure we'd order another bottle of wine. So we didn't. Then we ordered some tea and sweets and rounded up our great experience of this place. For just a little over 10€ per person we were more than satisfied.
Verdict: if you are in a hurry and just want a quick meal on your way from Ban Jelacic to Railway station, this is not the right place. But if you have plenty of time, do spend it here, look at the Tesla monument - always a conversation starter whether you want to talk about the inventor himself or the equally genius author of the monument, the one and only Mestrovic. Frankly, it if wasn't for the monument, we'd probably stop elsewhere.
