Took the tasting menu with wine pairings.
Service while professional was somewhat confused by there being 4 distinct staff all coming to the table with a different task. There is also no need for the irritating re-explanation of what is on your plate in fine detail when it comes….I know what it is because I ordered it and I don’t need to be told what I already read.
Overall atmosphere was zero.
Feedback on the meal was met with a mix of indifference and defensiveness.
It is a real shame because I had high hopes and Fiscardo would benefit from a high end restaurant but this isn’t it.
Wenn wir 6 Sterne vergeben könnten hätten sie es verdient.

However the service and atmosphere was a little odd. We were the only people in the restaurant (admittedly it was 7:30 which is early by Greek standards) but it was a Saturday evening, and there were about 6 staff all poised watching our every move. Our plates were taken away and new ones put down within a minute or so of finishing each course which made the meal feel very rushed and also did not feel like we had much privacy.
We also booked earlier in the week but they didn’t seem to have our booking when we arrived, and then they placed us in a table next to the alley with a noisy extractor fan that somewhat ruined the ambience as there was no music etc just this noise.
Overall lovely food but for the extremely high price point the service and atmosphere could have been a little more polished.

Συνεπώς δεν μας εξέπληξε η εξαιρετική ποιότητα των πιάτων και το άψογο service που πλαισιώνονταν από το εκπληκτικό περιβάλλον στο γραφικό Φισκάρδο.
Η επιλογή μας ήταν το μενού 1 των 5 πιάτων (4 + επιδόρπιο). Επειδή ακριβώς όταν περιμένεις το τέλειο, γίνεσαι αυστηρός στην κριτική κοιτάζοντας τη λεπτομέρεια, θα έκοβα μισό αστέρι για 2 λόγους. Το πρώτο πιάτο, sea bass carpaccio, θα ήταν ίσως καλό να τονιστεί (και αυτό είναι καθαρά υποκειμενική προσωπική άποψη) με λίγες σταγόνες ελαιόλαδο ή κάτι που θα το έκανε λιγότερο "στεγνό" ενώ στο τελευταίο πιάτο, ψαρι ημέρας με κρέμες από καρότο/πορτοκάλι και αρακά, η extra sauce που πλαισίωνε το ψάρι μου φάνηκε κάπως αδιάφορη -και ίσως περιττή. Θα προτιμούσα το ίδιο πιάτο με το πιο crispy ψημένο ψάρι όπως σερβίρεται στο "Varoulko".
Τέλος, εξαιρετικές είναι οι προτάσεις κρασιών.
Διαλέξαμε το κεφαλονίτικο "Typaldo του κτήματος Χαριτάτου του 2022" το οποίο μας εξέπληξε ευχάριστα και έδενε αρμονικά με τα πιάτα μας.
Ανυπομονώ να επισκεφτώ το "Tra Due" τα πιάτα του οποίου επίσης υπογράφει ο κύριος Λαζάρου.
This choice, this opportunity we wanted to give them ended up being a sour mistake.
A mistake equivalent to that of Djokovic thinking he could beat Carlos Alcaraz this year. A total whiplash.
Not only was the food bellow average (some pastas we still dont know what they actually were - could have been fish, could have been meat, could hace been nutella - a mistery yet to solve) but also small quantities (although in this particular scénario - thank god - as indigestion is not my favourite holiday partner).
As the cherry on top of the cake, in classic 2000s era greek corruption, their credit card machine magically did not pay (of course for a 800€ dinner this was a juicy incentive to not declare the bill for them)
We insisted on paying by card - they would call us when the card machine worked again. It never did. Must be the slowest, dumbest machine ever made. They called asking us for cash again, two days in a row - we declined and ended up doing a bank transfer.
Restaurant NOT recommended.
The starters were very nice, very tasty squid pasta. The main course though was a big miss, the portion size was smaller than the starter, one tiny piece of red snapper, paired with some seaweeds, not great in taste. My wife had a dorado, which was also tiny compared to the starter and dry. The desert was really good, so kudos there. I don't mind paying the prices but not for subpar quality and lack of dishes(they did not have almost half of the dishes on Sunday evening)
