THANK YOU to the whole team at Hotel Baobab Suites. I LOVED my family vacation in February 2024. We were not the easiest family - with 3 very active and rambunctious boys from NYC LOL - your staff went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel like at home. We had a washer and dryer in our room which was SUPER convenient and our kitchen had all the essential utensils and cookware needed to make lunch. Your breakfast buffet was SUPERB! Your free taxi service to Duque and Fanabe was amazing and well worth it. I even loved the fact that this hotel was situated up a slight hill, away from the hustle and bustle - made us feel secluded. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I did not have time to use the gym, however, I will make sure to come again in the future and use it - my boys did use the courts, pickleball, tennis, basketball, etc so that was amazing!

Just returned from our 2nd visit to Baobab and it did not disappoint. All staff are a credit to the hotel in the friendliness & attention to detail. Nothing is too much trouble. The housekeeping staff always have a smile and do an excellent job. We are already planning a 3rd visit. So glad we found Baobab as it is just what we want from our holiday accommodation. See you in 2025.

Fantastic place

Visited in January 2024. Family of 5 with three teenagers. We stayed in the Serenity Rio Suite. The suite was excellent, particularly the terrace with heated pool. The terrace also has a large paved area with table and chairs for outdoor dining and a sanded 'beach' area with sun lonngrs and a beautiful view of the beach. The buffet breakfast is excellent, there is a great selection food. The fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice are particularly good.

A family friendly and nice hotel for the price, but clearly catered to European clientele so Americans be warned: not up to American 5 star standard. Examples:

- tap water not potable and hotel does not provide sufficient bottled water (need to go shopping)
- feels a bit like glamping (fewer full bathrooms than bedrooms so get ready to coordinate showers, cot-like beds, 1 towel per person for face and body, no dressers in bedrooms, poor noise insulation via windows so hope there aren’t kids next door)
- suite has full kitchen but no pre-stock / shopping service (need to go shopping)
- breakfast buffet is extensive but food is European standard low sugar and salt. Your kids may complain but a potentially productive cultural experience
- hotel incapable of getting a taxi at the desired time
- long walk through dark and damp hallways from lobby to certain rooms (difficult for family member with hip pain)
- WiFi warns that the security certificate expired in 2021

Chose hotel for its quiet location away from tourist crowds. Smooth check-in, warm welcome, and Serenity Bliss suite met expectations. Modern, clean, well-equipped kitchen, large terrace with great view. Hillside location with steep walk to beach, but hotel offers free taxi vouchers. Quiet area, no noise from bars or restaurants. Two shared pools with adjacent kids pools. Most suites have private pools. Breakfast buffet fantastic, fresh juices made to order, great variety of warm foods, barista-style coffee. Could also improve poolside non-alcoholic drinks selection by eg. serving the same quality breakfast juices. Overall great service, views, tranquillity, and quality of suites. Will likely return next year!

No recomiendo para nada el hotel, una falta de limpieza total, se nota que tienen falta de personal, las zonas comunes muy sucias. No parece un hotel de 5 estrellas.

Lovely accommodation, bit of a climb from the beach though, a "back entrance" would help.

Also auf Empfehlung haben wir dieses Hotel besucht. Wir waren beeindruckt. Ein Riesen Hotel mit schönen Zimmer. Wir haben das Zimmer mit eigenem Pool gebucht. Ausstattung war 2 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder (eins mit Wanne und eins mit Dusche) Wohnstube mit Küche, eine schöne Terrasse, ein großer Pool

Zum Schlafzimmer:
-große Betten mit großen Schränken und einem Fernseher
- Badezimmer war in unserem Fall direkt neben dem Schlafzimmer. Das heißt keiner musste erst durch die Wohnung ins Bad laufen ????

Wohnstube mit Küche:
- gemütlich Couch mit Fernseher
- Küche mit ausreichend Geschirr und im Schrank eine Waschmaschine
- Grosser Kühlschrank
- kleine Kapselkaffeemaschine

Terrasse:
- es gibt eine Lounge Ecke (Bank, 2 Stühle und Tisch)
- es gibt die Möglichkeit draußen am Tisch mit 4 Stühlen zu essen
- Wäscheständer an der Wand angeschraubt (ausklappbar)
- großer sauberer Pool. Kurz dazu. Uns Zimmer lag auf der gleichen Etage wie der große Außenpool. Daher konnten wir ihn zwar sehen, aber es gab keinen direkten Zugang.
- die Aussicht war mit Meer und Landblick
- auf der Terrasse war auch eine kleine Dusche die für spiel und Spaß gut geeignet war :) natürlich nicht für den Zweck gedacht :)

Rezeption:
- Nettes Personal (deutsch englisch) das einzige Problem war das es nur eine Mitarbeiterin gab die deutsch perfekt konnte. Aber mithilfe eines Übersetzungsprogramm war eine Kommunikation ohne Probleme möglich.
- alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr höflich und jeder konnte einen seine Wünsche von den Lippen ablesen

Parken:
- kostenloses Parken nach Absprache in der Tiefgarage möglich.
- Alternative kann man auch vor dem Hotel auf der Straße parken.

Essen:
- Frühstück, Mittag und Abendbrot möglich (je nach dem was gebucht wurde)
- wir hatten nur Frühstück. Es gibt die Möglichkeit das man Frühstück auf dem Zimmer isst (kostenlos) oder alternativ das Buffet nutzt :) beides haben wir getestet. Vorteil am Buffet gibt es alles in ausreichenden Mengen. Auf dem Zimmer gibt es zum Frühstück kleine Boxen mit leckeren Essen.

Standort:
Also das Hotel liegt auf dem Berg, aber zu Fuß ist alles in 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Mit dem Auto ist man natürlich flexibel :)

Wir waren zwei mal dort im Urlaub. Schönes Hotel, Zimmer Top, Alles sauber und gepflegt. Highlight ist das Frühstück auf dem Zimmer was man geliefert bekommt. Hier kann man wirklich Entspannt Urlaub machen. Empfehlung!
