Just a 10 minute walk to the beach. Great music and late night vibe. Does what it says on the tin... Burgers and Bar. Rooms are very clean, quite small with limited space for clothes. Plunge pool nice for cooling off. Fantastic choice of restaurants within a very short walk. Burrito Amor was our favourite combo of food and service. Owner kindly arranged transfer from airport and onward for us. He also kindly rang for tuk tuks when we needed them.

Yaxa is a very unique place in Nosara. It's a whole vibe. All of the staff of Yaxa treat you like family and curate great attention to detail in every aspect of their offerings: an intentional, beautiful design and art throughout the space, gorgeous and vibrant beverage menu made with fresh fruits/herbs, a delicious complimentary breakfast that is nourishing and culturally-driven, and regular cleaning and tidy check ups on the room. The owners, Lisa and Lucca, helped us set up accommodations during our stay, such as rides to/from airport and connecting me with a local language tutor. These folks have created something special here! Yaxa is in a short stroll to the main beach, Playa Guiones, and all other parts of the town are walkable. We hired a tuk tuk driver for a couple of occasions but that was easy as can be. The beds are comfortable and the wifi connection is great (I had to have some virtual calls for work during my stay and had zero issues). If you are looking for an intimate stay that feels more local and less resort with the same comforts and more, this is the spot for you. We left feeling very inspired and taken care of. Only came to the restaurant so the review is not indicative of the hotel. It’s an OK burger. But it costs 15-17 bucks for what’s essentially a shake shack burger. Service was slow and sassy. Nothing terrible. Just an expensive and disappointing dinner when there’s other options in town.

Staying at Yaxa was such a lovely experience. It’s in the middle of everything, close to the beach and restaurants and all that Nosara has to offer, and yet it feels very tranquil. The owners are wonderful people who create a caring, laid-back vibe. Everyone who works there is sweet and helpful.

It’s a small hotel, just four or five casitas - which makes it feel homey. The casitas are simple yet well done. They are separated, so you never hear noise from your neighbors. The design of the entire place in fact is simple yet well done. The owner and the chef are excellent cooks. Breakfast was always a highlight of my day! We miss it and hope to return soon.

Aus meiner Sicht ist es zu teuer für das was es ist. Die Anlage ist ganz nett gemacht aber leider auch nicht das was man für 200 Dollar in der low Season erwarten kann. Das Zimmer war klein und leider auch ziemlich abgewohnt. Pool ist ok, könnte aber auch renoviert werden.
Frühstück war gut. Es gibt keine Parkplätze auf dem Gelände. Nur auf der „Straße“.
Würde ich das Hotel nicht empfehlen.

Wonderful boutique hotel; wonderful hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yaxa this past Feb. Lisa, Luca and Evo made us feel simultaneously at home and pampered. A true treasure. We look forward to returning!

Yaxa Nosara is one of the top places I’ve ever stayed. From their unmatched hospitality, clean rooms, beautiful pool area and food/drinks, our stay was incredible from start to finish. I will only be staying here should I ever come back to Nosara. 100% recommend!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Yaxa hotel for a few days! The hosts Lisa and Luca were so kind and welcoming, the location and design of the hotel are absolutely perfect. A relaxing little oasis steps away from Playa Guiones and all the restaurants. The food at Yaxa is wonderful, one of the best breakfasts we've ever had and they also cook for guests on Friday and Saturday nights. Would definitely stay there again, thank you Lisa and Luca for making our time in Nosara so special!! :)

Immaculate vibes. Beautiful hospitality and relaxation here! Great location with a short walk to the beach and easy to explore the nearby shops on foot. Enjoyed the floating pool after a day in the sun! Best breakfast ever! Thank you for creating an artistic boutique hotel. Hopefully I can return someday.

Only visited the bar. Stopped in for pre-dinner drinks and came back for post-dinner drinks. Great bartender (thanks Ivo!!!) and beautiful and friendly local young people. A great, relaxing place to hang out.

Found on Christmas morning looking for breakfast. Luca made delicious cappuccinos and breakfast burritos Home-made flour tortillas and plantains in the burrito, so good!

Another amazing time at Yaxa. Lisa and Luca as always friendly and accommodating. Friday and Saturday meals were great. Very convenient to be a walk away to the beach and restaurants. Will be back again.

Lisa and Luca‘s place is wonderful, the rooms are generous and spot clean. We loved staying there is the perfect indoor outdoor hang u want in that place. Great taste amazing sweet crew taking care of you. A bohemian place with awesome social Friday and dinner Saturday. Being French the food is fantastic! Absolutely loved our stay at Yaxa. From the moment we walked in, Lisa and Luca made us feel like family. The communal area is gorgeous and was perfect for both finding a spot in which to get some work done as well as having a drink and getting to know the other awesome guests. Breakfast and coffee were excellent! The rooms are well attended to and kept very clean. The bed was super comfortable and the shower pressure is great! We had a little private patio outside our room that kept it feeling very private. Walking around was very easy with restaurants, shops, and the beach all within a few minutes. I highly recommend staying at Yaxa if you’re in Nosara, it’s a beautiful little boutique hotel managed by the loveliest, most welcoming people.

Yaxa is amazing. We absolutely loved our time at Luca and Lisa’s boutique hotel. The moment we arrived we instantly felt like family. Luca is from Italy and Lisa is from France so naturally they both are amazing chefs. We arrived on a Sunday night not knowing that several restaurants are closed on Sunday nights and Lisa and Luca were excited to cook for us and made us an amazing 3 course meal that was easily one of the best meals we had here in Nosara. Breakfast is included with your stay and again they do not disappoint. One morning Lisa whipped up a homemade pesto to put into a French omelette and served it up with a warm French baguette. So simple yet INCREDIBLE.

The rooms are very private, clean and comfortable each with their own outdoor patio space. The bar/common area is a beautiful space to hang out, do some work, or meet some great people! If you’re looking for an amazing place to stay in Nosara…Yaxa is what you’ve been looking for.
