I found a reccomendation for this place on Reddit and it lived up to its hype!!

The service was brilliant, the food was gorgeous (I had Chicken with Gorgonzola, and the asparagus soup was amazing!) And the decor was lovely.

100% reccomend it for a nice evening out.

Wide variety of foods. (Based on what we ordered I would assume everything is delicious) Very kind staff, with up to date knowledge of the menus. I recommend it to everyone. (Consider table reservation)

Csodálatos volt ott lenni...eszményi volt az étel, "Jani" nekem János volt a pincérünk kifogástalan úri ember javaslom főpincérnek !!!! Alig várom az alkalmat, hogy ismét eljussak Önökhöz köszönöm Lestár /Harb/

Having read that this restaurant struggled with reservations, I emailed them with a specific reservation request a month before our trip. After no response, I did it again a couple weeks later. Still nothing. Since the request was for our arrival day on the trip, I figured, it's a Thursday in April, hopefully we won't have a problem... We walk for 20 minutes to the restaurant and are told there is no way we can eat there without a reservation. I tell them that I contacted them long ago, and the guy says something to the effect of "It's hard for us to manage all the emails we get" and says that we should have called. Well, when you live in a different country, it's not practical to call. Give me a break. It's cringe worthy to be told they can't manage reading emails.. Clearly this place is too big for its britches and could care less about people wanting to eat there. You can do better Rosentein, it's not terribly difficult to have a staff member check emails a couple times a week, and if someone requests a reservation, determine if it's possible and then either make said reservation or tell us one isn't available. Embarrassing for them-but clearly they could care less. What a joke.

If you are in Budapest-Keleti station and have some hours until your train comes then I would definitely recommend to eat in this great restaurant! It‘s about 7 minutes walking from train station, food is amazing, you can literally find everything (chicken, lamb, duck, fish, vegetarian, pork, deer). Staff is very friendly and service is very good. We had breaded lamb served with onion salad and potato in mayonnaise and deer with orange sauce. Both dishes were very tasty. The lamb had some fats so some people might not like it. You can sit comfortably there, I would very much recommend it.

הגענו באיחור של 10 דקות,מחקו אותנו מהרשימה ואז נזפו בנו ועשו טובה שעלק מצאו עבורנו שולחן.חוצפה שאין כדוגמתה!!!

Das Rosenstein ist ein Ort wo man ankommt und zuerst denkt, dass es ein etwas gehobeneres Lokal ist. Die Preise sind höher, das Ambiente inklusive Outfit des Servicepersonals ist etwas schicker und beim Eingang werden Fotos von Stars ausgestellt, die hier bereits gegessen haben.
Umso verwunderlicher war es dann für uns, das das Essen maximal durchschnittlich war und teils langweilig geschmeckt hat. Das Highlight an meinem Beef Tartar war das Sauerteigbrot, welches als Beilage dabei war. Das Beef Tartar selbst schmeckte leider nach nicht viel aber.
Wir hatten uns eigentlich auf die Nachspeise gefreut, das wir unbedingt Somlauer Nockerl wollten, aber diese schmeckten fast wie ein Fertiggericht und waren in keiner Weise passend für den Preis und schon gar nicht für das Ambiente.
Alles in allem ist das Lokal gut, wenn man eine große Auswahl haben möchte aus der man wählen will aber sonst ist es leider nur durchschnittlich.
