I ate here last night and want to say that this restaurant was overall great. Delicious food at every course and attentive service, but it did not experience a proper 2 Michelin Star meal.
I had 2 issues that decreased my experience at Stand:
1. I ordered the lactose free menu (they offer 3 menus: regular, gluten free, and lactose free) but found that they constantly gave me less than those getting the regular menu. During 3 separate courses, I did not receive an entire item that everyone else got. They didn’t even try to substitute it. So I was left watching the rest of my party eat them while I sat there. For one of the courses they gave me a grilled piece of lettuce with sauce (salad) while the regular menu had fish and another item that was more substantial. My main issue is that they always offer this menu (not a last minute substitution) and do not provide an equivalent experience yet they charge the full price. At none of the 3 courses where I was not given an item did they even try to give me a substitute. I would have been fine with a second piece of another item. This was shocking to experience this at a 2 Star Michelin restaurant.
2. They kept trying to get us to buy more alcohol after we constantly said we don’t want anymore. I had to say no at least 4 times after having already said we are done after our first bottle of wine. For a 2 Star Michelin, I shouldn’t have to keep saying no to them pushing alcohol after I have already said we don’t want more.

Es war einfach nur ein Traum. Jeder Gang geschmacklich und optisch allergrößte Kunst. Es ist immer wieder erstaunlich, wie Meister ihres Fachs aus einfachen Gerichten (hier Gulaschsuppe) unvergessliche Geschmackserlebnisse zaubern (anderes Beispiel: Kutteln bei Vincent Klink in Stuttgart) Der Service absolut phantastisch und zuvorkommend. Die Weinbegleitung ein absolutes Highlight aus ausschließlich ungarischen Weinen, die man in Deutschland leider fast nicht findet. Es gibt auch eine Premiumweinreise mit internationalen Weinen, die jedoch im Angesicht der Qualität der ungarischen Weine zu Recht ein nutzloses Dasein fristet.
Ein absolutes Muss für Freunde der außergewöhnlichen Küche. Bin felsenfest der Überzeugung, dass hier bald noch mehr Sterne leuchten werden.

Eating at this restaurant was an experience that will stay with myself and my family for life.
If you have the opportunity to eat here, you absolutely have to! We did the 12 course meal with the hungarian wine pairing - it was heavenly.
The service staff were absolutely phenomenal, and the care taken to ensure we had an enjoyable time was beyond anything i could have expected.

Ottima esperienza fatta di sapori freschi e puliti, lo Chef inerpreta con eleganza e originalità combinazioni di ingredienti davvero di alta qualità ad esempio il foie gras o il cervo , sono rimasta estasiata dai sapori sublimi. Gli impiattamenti artistici, il servizio ottimo la location moderna e dall'atmosfera coinvolgente.
Una lode alla cucina e alla brigata che ha eseguito con armonia una grande cucina. Ottima la lista dei vini!

Overall a great experience and if you are in Budapest looking for fine dining I would not hesitate to come here. The previous two nights we ate at the 18th best restaurant in the world and another michelin star spot in Amsterdam and Stand Etterem was by far the best. It will not surprise me at all if they end up on the top 50 list. The dishes were almost too beautiful to eat but were some of the best bites we had ever had. It is quite expensive for Budapest but worth it.

Excellence in all regards. A proper environment for serious diners interested in only the finest quality.
There are a few negative reviews on here that describe the staff as “unaccommodating”— I must say, that could not be further from the truth.
The staff was both friendly and professional. They were pleasant while remaining respectful, and they accommodated my pregnant wife with dignity and grace. They ensured that she would be alright with all ingredients on the menu, and changed courses accordingly with the few ingredients she was unable to have. 10/10 wonderful experience, highly recommend. Couldn’t be better.

Ein sehr exklusives Restaurant mit ausgezeichnetem Essen und exzellenter Weinbegleitung. Unserer Meinung nach hat das Restaurant den dritten Stern jedenfalls verdient. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die erfrischend lockere aber auch hoch professionelle Leistung der deutschsprachigen Kellnerin, die uns durch den Abend begleitet hat. Sobald wir wieder mal in Budapest sind kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei.

Mit is mondhatnék egy két Michelin csillagos helyre?! :-) Felkészült személyzet, maximális odafigyelés a vendégre. A vegetáriánus menüsor valami csoda, az ember nem is gondolná, hogy ilyen ízeket lehet kihozni a zöldségekből.

My favourite dining experience, ever. Staff were incredible, knowledgeable, friendly and perfectly attentive. Beautifully presented artworks with clear careful preparation and thoughtful creations. Not too long to wait between courses. Really a wonderful evening, thank you to the team.

My wife and I dined here in March 2023, and from the beginning to end, our experience was faultless.
I rarely find time to write reviews, but since our visit last year, I vowed that for this restaurant, I must.
The service we received was 1st class and personal, and we felt very welcomed.
The pace of the evening was perfect and our waitress was very friendly and gave us much time and attention.
The sommelier was exceptional, his pairings we felt worked beautifully, and his love and understanding of wine was clear to see when he talked with us.
The food was sensational, dishes that I will always remember, beautifully presented, thoughtfully created, and absolutely delicious.
I would highly recommend Stand to anyone who enjoys fine dining.

We visited Stand restaurant yesterday evening me and my wife. The tasting menu, which consists of eight courses, is a great way to experience the chef’s vision and skill.

Everything is beautiful! My favorites are the yellow beetroot marinated in elderflower vinegar and the confit new potato with mushroom caviar. Very creative and flavorful.

Dle mého vkusu se více dbalo na to jak to vypadá než jak to chutná, například u bramborového jídla byl “lanýž” který byl na oko fakt krásnej ale co se týče chuti tak spíše zklamání. Ve skoro každém jídle zakomponavené želé které sice vypadalo hezky, ale opět nechutnalo nijak zvláštně/dobře.
Dnešní večer jsem si moc užil a až na tyto malé detaily nemám co vytknout, děkuji celému týmu za zážitek a přeju hodně úspěchů.
