Avis RIAD DAR SALAM Marrakech

Muy buen sitio! En la Medina pero a las afueras! Con lo que es más tranquilo ! Y todo cerca para pasear ! Hay un parking cerca! Que aunque son unos piratas negociando conseguí por 50 dírham! El dueño del hotel nos ayudó con ellos !

Très bon riad, Merci à Faysal qui nous a bien rendu services, d une gentillesse, un très bon accueil et merci aussi aux femmes de services ,très bon petit déjeuner.
L emplacement est idéal pour vivre une semaine à la marocaine en plein de la médina, nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Marrakech.

Riad très sympathique, emplacement bien situé, et personnel adorable.

A ÉVITER A TOUR PRIX. ARNAQUE POUR TOURISTES.
Je suis maman et voyage solo avec ma fille depuis des année et JAMAIS vu ça.
Je réserve et paie à l'avance ma chambre pour deux jours dans ce Riad. Lorsque j'arrive, on me fait attendre 1h avant d'oser m'annoncer qu'il n'y a plus de chambre pour moi et ma fille et que je dois trouver un autre riad. Le patron se cache derrière son manager et estime qu'étant donné qu'il m'a remboursé tout est réglé. Attitude odieuse et inadmissible. Arrogant +++ J'ai du trouver un riad dernière minute au double de prix. Une rencontre que j’ai faite sur place a vécue la même expérience avec ce Riad. Grosse arnaque..Méfiez vouuus

Avoid at all costs! They tried to bait and switch me to another riad... convincing me that it was going to be "an upgrade". No - it was a 10 minute walk down a dark alley to a riad that had plastic shower curtains. I kid you not -- and tried to sell it to me as an upgrade. This location is also not very nice for tourists. I didn't feel 100% safe.

Then when I asked for my money to be refunded the manager did but pettily asked for money for the water he gave me back... ok dude. Here's 50 cents. Stunned by lack of hospitality here.

Bonne grosse arnaque à touristes, allez plutot à ryad roxanne ou dar tuscia, même prix mais honnêtes, marocains et magnifiques.
A fuir à part si vous aimez vous faire bien pigeonner par des patrons qui se font du fric sur le dos de leurs employés (et le votre). Oubliez pas de demander une annulation de la chambre à l'arrivée (si par booking) marchez un peu dans la medina pour trouver un vrai ryad marocain sympa...

Emplacement très bien, pour le reste à éviter à tout prix.... Chambre réservée avec vue sur montagne et grand lit, résultats chambre avec vue sur patio intérieur, aucune fenêtre donnant vers l'extérieur et pour le lit ...2 petits lits accolé l'un à l'autre avec évidemment un creux très important entre les deux ! Aucune solution trouvée par le réceptionniste, aucun geste commercial ! Très très mauvaise expérience !

This is the hardest review I have ever written in my life. We arrived to the riad and we found out that our room was given to someone else (suite) so we were offered basic room, and we didn't want it but after an 30 minutes of talking we agreed if we get an compensation. The small room wasn't very good. Later next day we got our room, bed full of other people's hair, tv not working, no hot water in the mornings(I get it it has one water boiler) nevertheless,the guy who received us told that he talked with the manager however he didn't. As the manager arrived next day he wasn't aware and he said the guy was fired. So we asked for a compensation via booking, but smartly enough the cancelled our reservation and booking could not do a thing. Good move from the riad at their sense. They tried to butter us with things but the damage was already done from our side. The people are very nice there. Breakfast OK, and rooms OK, I loved the shift manager and so on. I talked with the boss too and he's response was "the guy doesn't work here anymore who made the mistake so I will not take the responsibility". So I am sad to say, I would not reccomend this place. You get better value somewhere else. Think twice. Sorry for the bad review.

A no-brainer, if you’re looking for a simple place with an oriental touch, wonderful service, friendly staff, and which is located in the middle of the old city of Marrakech.

A big thanks to Faisal, who gave us an unforgettable warming welcome and helped us with restaurants & visits recommendations.

Riad carino situato secondo me in posizione perfetta perché non si trova nel pieno centro con I vicoletti e nemmeno troppo lontano a piedi dalla piazza principale della Medina. Questo comporta il vantaggio che è raggiungibile dai taxi o almeno a poco più di 100 metri ci stanno sia i taxi che anche una banca per prelevare.
Secondo me le camere più belle sono quelle del rooftop che sono anche le più spaziose. Infatti la prima notte cause errore nella gestione dell'overbooking eravamo capitati in una stanza piccola che è anche carina ma....se si hanno valige è impossibile starci dentro. Però subito cambiata la sera dopo con quella del rooftop.
Personale molto molto cordiale.

Unfortunately can’t give 5* for a few reasons. I would gibe just 3 but thanks to Faissal (assist manager) I am giving 4.

Stuff:
-all ladies are always helpful and smiling and although I don’t speak Arabic and French we could communicate:)
-reception/assistance manager Faissal is actually star of the place. He is friendly, funny, always makes you company (if you want), always somewhere to be seen. As I have had my own “guide” and program he never pushed me or suggested what should I do/go/buy … he just carefully asked about my guide which I appreciate as security should be always on the first place especially as I travel solo. I wanted to say goodbye properly but unfortunately the day when I was leaving he was off.

Room:
-if you would like to have good, quiet room do not book the one with mountains view on the roof (or take number 6 which I have had). That’s the place where everyone going for breakfast, smoke and evening chitchat. My room was very small but for sleeping only it was ok. But I can’t imagine to spend any other time in it. It took a bit to have hoy water and my last night I gave up after 20 min waiting. Unfortunately, following morning I have had hot water but issue was with cold one.

Breakfast:
I usually don’t eat breakfast so I can talk only about one and only one day when I took it. It wasn’t good at all. Tea or coffee (it tastes instant but I use to strong coffee) only. I haven’t been given water or juice and I could see that other people have had it. Two small pancakes, jam, honey, bread and one small triangle of soft cheese.
Very disappointing experience as during my stay in Morocco I went to Atlas Mountains and have had accommodation there and the breakfast was absolutely amazing with olive oil, olives, moroccan crepes….

Location:
Although lots of people talking about it in negative way in their comments, I think that location is perfect. Very close to entrance to Medina so easy to get out and find taxi. Yes, if you going to medina markets you have to walk about 15-30 min (depends where you are heading) but that’s part of experience in Marrakesh right? To walk, to see, smell … I haven’t been afraid to walk on the street even on evening after sunset and have told my guide that it’s not necessary to walk me to my Riad all the time. But if you are expecting beautiful entrance from street which is clean, quiet, secure … then you have to find another place.

Ein Riad mitten im Trubel der Medina. Obere Dach Etage etwas laut. Im ersten Stock aber ruhig. Kleine gemütliche Zimmer. Schön eingerichtet. Personal sehr freundlich. Frühstück in Ordnung.

Just wooow, from the great hospitality that I received here’s to the awesome Terrace on the roof I was welcomed with open arms from this great hotel. Fayssal is the on duty manager, and will go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is unforgettable.

Mon amie et moi avons passé un excellent séjour au sein de ce Riad pittoresque situé dans la Médina de Marrakech. Le personnel est chaleureux et serviable. La terrasse est très agréable. Mention spéciale à Faysal pour sa sympathie et sa bonne humeur!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Dar Salam Palm, très joli riad avec petite terrasse et très bon accueil du personnel.

Excellent Reyad/hotel. Only one thing is that the rooms lack a minibar, which is much needed within the hot summer of Marrakech.

Sehr nette Personal, Faisal ist ein sehr netter und freundlicher Mann. EZ hat alles versucht danke der Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich wird. Als wir uns über die große des Bettes beschwert haben hat er schnell ein weiteres Bett besorgt. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Das Zimmer war ziemlich klein und das Bad sehr klein aber die eine Nacht hat es ausgereicht.

Un buen riad bastante céntrico, aunque un poco ruidoso por el tráfico que pasa por las calles aledañas. El acceso está en un callejón aunque está señalizado. El servicio bastante bueno, las habitaciones amplias y con un buen baño. El desayuno bastante bueno.
