NOVOTEL LONDON CANARY WHARF * * * *

The hotel was stunning, the room was large, and the city view was breathtaking both day and night.
The shower was immaculate and had a privacy button which was cool.
Enjoying the swimming pool and sauna added an extra special touch to our stay.
The restaurant and bar on the top floor was also great and offered a spectacular view
I arrived quite early, before midday, on a Friday morning and a friendly, young, left handed Italian lady at the reception desk was happy to check me in immediately. I asked if was possible to give me a room on one of the higher floors so she put me in Room 31 15. Perfect. She even gave me a voucher for a free drink at the bar at the top of the hotel which was nice.
The room itself was of a modest size but very modern and had excellent views, mainly to the other high rise buildings in this part of town. There was a large comfortable bed, a desk above which was a big flat screen TV. The free WiFi worked well. I was thankful for the free coffee and tea making facilities and the free safe in the wardrobe. The modern bathroom was clean and had a great walk in shower. I did slip around in it a bit but I asked the same receptionist if I could have a rubber bath mat to avoid any injuries. No problem.
I didn't avail myself of the breakfast there - I just went to one of the many places in the Canary Wharf shopping malls.
The overall location was fine. I enjoyed catching the Uber boats into town. The pier was closer than the two underground stations over at Canary Wharf. All in a reasonable walking distance.
Actually I was so impressed that I have booked a couple more nights when I come over again in July.
