THE FIELDING HOTEL

The rooms are very small, the door of the toilet does not close properly. The bed does a terrible sound each time you move.
The hotel does not have lift and the stairs are not only narrow but also very dangerous.
The location of the hotel is the only good thing, this is the reason why authorities are letting this hotel still to be open, otherwise I would expect it to be closed.
If you are planning to go to this hotel, take into consideration this comment, and I would strongly recommend if you finally decide to book this one, to try to so the check in in the afternoon when the lady is working and avoid having to meet the manager in the reception.
The hotel is located in the theatre district of London. Restaurants, shops, cafes and shopping are at your fingertips. We were able to walk to Leicester square, Westminster Abbey, and the Churchill War Rooms from here. Other attractions probably require the metro which a station is in very close proximity. Be sure to check out the Piazza that is within a block or two. If we have the opportunity to go back to London I would absolutely reserve a room here again.
Total disinterest by the manager
I want to know what it is about this hotel that is 'boutique' because my room - see photos- really didn't match the Description
I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel. I had often walked past it on previous trips to Covent Garden and decided that I wanted to stay here for my 'big Birthday'
As I am unlikely to celebrate another 'big birthday' I wanted this trip to London to be special including staying in a nice hotel.
It describes itself as 'boutique'
Please look at the attached photos and tell me if this matches the 'boutique' description?
-peeling walls
- curtains falling down
-A very small claustrophobic room
- Windows covered in opaque film so unable to see anything outside
-a bed with no bedside tables or shelves so my drinks, medication and bedside paraphernalia had to be placed on the floor which I feel in unhygienic and not very accessible
- Heating was awful.I turned on a heater and my bed was covered in black fluff, dried insects and dirt. The heater must be full of dirt due to lack of cleaning and must have health and safety consequences which I plan to check out with the local health and safety authorities
-The bathroom heater didnt work we had reported it but no one has any idea when fixing it will take place,in fact it was never fixed during our stay
Considering this was one of the coldest days the heating was inadequate and didn't work efficiently
-The edge of the shower curtain was dirty, disgusting and mouldy
-My partner splashed out on 'extras' as it was my big birthday this included chocolates.these were out of date and I also wonder how they had been stored.
They tasted stale and we returned them to the hotel reception
The so called luxury bath bomb had been opened and the wrapper crudely sellotaped back.
The hotel sells cold drinks but no sugar free for guests who are unable to have sugar
- I used one of my hand wipes to clean dirty light switches and a sticky TV remote.
I asked to speak to a manager and was told he was away until after we've left
we returned from a trip out at 1pm on one day and our door was left open
It is my opinion that the description of the hotel rooms are inaccurate even fraudulent
This was a break we had looked forward to for many months and sadly Fieldings hotel ruined it
In my opinion and experience the hotel quality is clearly being misrepresented
I suggest anyone wanting to book Fieldings checks out my photos
