The hotel is in a great location. Very close to the metro. All restaurants, pubs and shops around open late. Also the 24 hrs marker is 5 mins away from the place. The only two things which I was not fun with was that the hotel freezes 50 EUR as a deposit and only you get one key to your room. Rooms are basic but very clean and have everything you need. I would like to recommend the location and service are very valuable for sure.

Personnel accueillant et souriant. Chambres petites. Couloirs également. Lieu « vieillot », on sent le manque de rénovation.

I booked a small room for my father and trust me it’s really really small. Description says it can host two small persons but trust me it can only accommodate one. Anyway price is low and actually only my father was living inside and the service and cleaning were fine so I would recommend this place to those who come to london solo and try to find a cheap place for one or two night.

I had an overnight layover before a 10 hour flight the next morning. I also have sciatica, and plane rides are one of the worst things for it. As such, I specifically booked a hotel room with a jetted tub, as it really helps to ease the pain and allow me to sleep some. I took an hour train ride to this place specifically for this reason. Their booking platform asks you to put in any specific requests or wants, and I put in there that I wanted a spa tub that worked well. That was my only request

My jetted tub did not work. The jets would not provide consistent output and most of the time it was very weak output. It cycled with about one second of high output followed by about 3-4 second of low output, like a cyclic surge. Also the air intake valves didn't work, and the drain stopper was shotty, but whatever. I let them know immediately that it was broken and that I wanted to change rooms. They (the night reception person and their nameless "manager" whom they would periodically call or text, proceeded to try to convince me repeatedly that it was perfectly functional. They refused to let me switch rooms, or even go test the other jetted tub to see if it indeed was the same or different from the broken one. I offered to clean the room I had first, as I had only used the tub and toilet- they refused. I eventually just asked to book the other room in addition to the one with the broken tub. They hemmed and hawed about that too, and eventually agreed. All in all I think I spent about 1.5-2 hours of my evening trying to get a functional tub. I said it was ridiculous and that I didn't understand why they were being so mean about this. When I went to pay for the second room, the night reception person offered me a discount of about 55% and acted like they were being super generous with that. I said again that I thought they should just let me switch rooms but that if they just wanted more money, I would give it to them. They then asked for the keys to the first room, which I declined to provide as I have paid for it until tomorrow.

The second room's tub works fine. I took videos of both tubs and took them to the night reception person and asked if I could get a refund now that I have documented proof that the tub is defective, and they again declined.

The location was bad for me as it is far from Heathrow. But maybe fine if you want to be in Hyde Park.

The rooms other than the broken tub are actually fine too. Pretty cute. High ceilings and old-worldy. One had s fun little terrace with a table. The other had a big window that opens- not something you get in a lot of new places. Both seem clean enough and no sign of bed bugs lol

If they had been decent about the broken tub, or if the tub want broken, their rating from me would be much higher.

But they are mean and spiteful for no reason. Not kind or ethical at all. I don't recommend going there for that reason. If something goes wrong, they will not help you or make it right.

We stayed with the family (2 kids of 9 and 11) for four nights over new years, and had a wonderful time. The host was very caring and informative, and the room were clean and bigger than expected. We had one queen bed and two single beds in one big room, but it did not feel crowded (in spite of all the shopping we did!). The location was perfect for us, just a few minutes walk to Hyde Park, 15 mins to Oxford Street and Padding Station just one block away. We could not be happier with our visit and can highly recommend to any one, couple or family, that aims to explore London. Thank you!

Was asked to pay a £50 "deposit" upon arriving to the hotel. This was not told to me before moving in. A week later and it has not been returned to me. Rooms were grotty and horrible.

We chose Rhodes hotel last minute, few days before arrival. Excellent location, nice surroundings, quite and lovely place close to Hyde Park (Kensington Garden). Two tube stations are few minutes walk to the hotel: Paddington and Lancaster Gate. A lot of nice cafes to get breakfast or to have good dinner (Pizza in Bella Italia was the tastiest ever), also many food and souvenirs’ shops.
Rhodes hotel is modest, but it has all the necessary amenities you need during your stay in London. Friendly staff, clean rooms, tea-pot, AC. Rooms are small, but we didn’t spend a lot of time here, so everything was ok. Comfortable beds. We truly enjoyed at Rhodes, as it is located in a very nice and quite place. Reasonable price for excellent location.

I had heard that London is expensive but didn't expect the rooms to be too small. We paid nearly 200 gbp per night in October and were expecting a bit more space. The amenities were fine to be honest.
There are a lot of stairs and little room to carry your suitcase.

Friendly helpful service when I left my luggage early (woman who helped me was incredibly helpful in where to go and what to see) and the gentleman there when I can back to check-in offered me assistance getting my luggage up the steps. These are old buildings and you should expect to use stairs (narrow but always a bannister). My single room was compact and clean - at this price point, I did not expect luxury but had everything I needed and expected with kettle, tea, treats and towels. As a solo, I felt safe and loved the location with good restaurants, mini-market, Paddington, and Hyde Park with easy proximity. All in all, good value and I would recommend!

The staff were absolutely horrible. I was yelled at the reception over asking for help for carrying luggage’s. I had asked for help in hauling my luggage up the stairs as I’m a small woman, he said yes and I said thank you, but after he was angry because I didn’t offer to help him carry it up and yelled at me.

I told him I would’ve gladly helped if he asked, and wouldn’t even have minded if he declined carrying the luggage altogether but he didn’t care.
