Très bons plats et personnel au petit soin.
The bar & restaurant area is also relaxing, lovely and shady which takes the edge of the heat too, and the food is Excellent! There's a wide variety of choice on the menu from Western to African cuisine and during my 2 months I tried everything! I was not disappointed once. You can also receive WIFI at the bar and reception areas, although if many people are using it it can be quite slow - but it is Africa!
Not only is the food excellent but so is the service, all the staff were very friendly, polite and unpretentious. I always felt welcome by them, and as I was a woman travelling on my own that makes a very big difference. My privacy was always respected, especially in terms of room cleaning (which was very different from any other hotel I've stayed in in Africa).
A special mention needs to be made about the Managers Lionel and Liselle - they were exceptionally welcoming. They always took the time to get to know each guest a little and to socialise a little with us in the evenings. They were so helpful in assisting me with issues that I had while in Togo that I think my journey would have been a lot harder without them.
I would very much recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Lomé - especially if you are staying for more than a few days, it really felt like home with all the benefits of a great hotel. I have been travelling for work for more than 10 years and Hotel Napoléon Lagune is in my top 3 hotels! (The other two are 5 star!).
