We stayed in a jr suite as a family of 3.
The location is great. 10 minute walk from the Center and away from the crowds. Very clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
I will definitely be staying here if I ever go back to Basel!

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Spalentor war sehr angenehm, das Frühstück hervorragend, das Zimmer gut ausgestattet, allerdings war der Verkehrslärm störend, auch bei geschlossenen Fenstern.
Der Zimmerservice war gut, und das Verhalten/die Ansprechbarkeit der MitarbeiterInnen beim Empfang war sehr erfreulich, auch erhielten wir gute Informationen zu unserem Aufenthalt in Basel. Ebenso gut und zugewandt war das Verhalten Ihrer Mitarbeiterinnen im Frühstücksraum.

Chambres propres et confortables. Petites attentions à l'arrivée (pommes, boissons de bienvenues, fruits à disposition à l'accueil pour la durée du séjour). Le personnel s'est montré accueillant et chaleureux. La présence du bar et de quelques jeux (billard, fléchettes, babyfoot, jeux enfants) est un plus. L'hôtel est bien situé juste à l'entrée de la vieille ville de Bâle et à quelques arrêts du zoo.

We stayed with my husband for 1 day, we chose the hotel by looking at the comments. It is a much nicer hotel than the comments. A warm welcome awaits you when you first enter the hotel. Since it coincided with Easter, colorful chocolates and apples were served. Our room was spotlessly clean, large, quiet, and spacious, and everything was thought of. There were many products, from cotton buds to body cream. The bed was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was great, it had a lot of variety and was delicious... The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was sad to leave because it felt like home. If I come back to Basel I will stay here again. They gave us Basel card. Thanks to the this card we visited many city location museum and Zoo.Do not think about any other hotel. Both its location and features were great. It is close to everywhere, within walking distance. We had a very happy day, I would like to thank all the staff and wish you good luck

Large cheerful rooms, very comfortable beds, lovely hotel in an awesome location at the doorstep of the old town. Walk to everything. Friendly front desk and restaurant staff, good breakfast. I will stay here again.

First of all, very kind reception desk. They tell you everything, help you with everything and give out many discounted voucher for the city activities (zoo, museum etc).
Second: room is clean, spacious, modern. The only thing that is bothering the ventilator… it works too long before it switches off.
Third: Breakfast is great, eggs, bacon, pancaced, breads, various juices and etc. All high quality.
I would definately come to them
If I stayed in basel again. Price and quality match

Ich freue mich bei jedem Besuch über die Herzlichkei mit der ich empfangen werde und die persönlichen Gespräche, die sich immer wieder ergeben.

A great location with an awesome facilities, foods and service. The rooms and the hotel were clean. The location was near historical side of the city. If you visit Basel, I rigorously recommend you to stay there.

Heerlijke ervaring gehad. Schone, ruime kamer, heel vriendelijk personeel. De ligging van het hotel is ook heel prettig. Lopend kun je veel kanten op om Basel te ontdekken. Het hotel geeft ook een Basel card waarmee je gratis gebruik kunt maken van het openbaar vervoer. Het ontbijt was goed, lekker en uitgebreid. Onze vrienden hadden een hond. Ook voor die hond was extra service beschikbaar. Het is zeker een hotel dat we kunnen aanraden.

Freundliches Personal, wunderbarer Frühstücksraum im Dachgeschoss mit reichlich Auswahl.

Very nice small hotel in the city center. Clean nice equipped rooms with comfortable beds. Additionally gym room and pool bilard available for free. One minus for parking available 200m away in another building. Very nice and polite service on the reception. Worth the price. Would be good to return.
