Very clean and comfortable room. The staff is amazing. The breakfast was excellent. Enough choices to power up my day.

Was attending a course at IMD, less than ten minutes walk away so location was very convenient. Love the fact that umbrellas were made available for rainy days.

Rooms were super comfortable with everything required for a relaxing stay. Had a massage that was arranged easily and conveniently too!

Overall, happy to have chosen Angleterre & Residence!

Super Hotel an sich mit toller Lage und Erreichbarkeit (Endstation M2 Ouchy-Olympique). Wir hatten ein ruhiges Zimmer gegen den Innenhof. Das Zimmer war geräumig und war mit allem ausgestattet, was wir brauchten (Kaffeemaschine, Föhn, genügend Duschmittel etc.). Was super toll war, dass die Minibar zur freien Benutzung war (ja, Getränke gratis bzw. Inkludiert.). Sauber war es auch und das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam. Alles in allem ein tolles Hotel an einer tollen Lage.

Nous nous sommes rendus moi et ma compagne au restaurant, café, hôtel de l’Angleterre. Magnifique journée ensoleillée, nous avions envie de profiter d’une terrasse. Hélas, nous avons été refusé parce que ce soi-disant une partie de la terrasse était fermé alors que des clients consommer. Notre heure de passage était de 14 heures.
Pourquoi ? Pas envie de travailler ? Vous avez atteint votre chiffre d’affaires ? Je ne serai peut-être jamais la réponse. En tout cas une chose qui est sure, nous remettrons plus jamais les pieds comme nous étions là, malvenu.

The location was perfect - close to the Metro and the lake. The grounds and outside of the hotel are beautiful.

The rooms are a bit small however ours had a nice view of the pool and lake. There are several areas that could use improvement: We had to carry our own luggage up the outside stairs. The room's air conditioner wasn't working so we called the front desk who reviewed the instructions to operate it which we had done correctly. She said someone would be sent up shortly to check. Over an hour later, someone came in only to verify we were correct in how to use the thermostat. We then had to wait 1 1/2 hours for someone else to come repair it. Once repaired it worked however we noticed an on-going noise every 20 seconds when on the High setting. Adjusting it to the middle setting took care of the sound.

To end on a good note, the breakfast was wonderful and the serving staff were very helpful and friendly.

Cool historic place but the room interior design concept is not suitable and will soon date and look tardy.
The grounds look untidy.
Get full time gardeners to create beautiful spaces within the grounds and pool area to suit the architecture and historical surroundings.

Create some space in the Breakfast area by pushing out into the courtyard.
The current space creates a tense atmosphere even for staff to work in.

Cool place and understand that COVID must have been tough but I think it could do so much better.

Eher altes und gediegenes Hotel an einer schönen Lage mit Pool. Mich hat es gestört, dass es im Zimmer und im Gang komisch roch. Leider hat eine Meldung an der Rezeption die Situation nicht verbessert. Eher teuer. Ich habe einen Tarif gebucht, wobei nach Möglichkeit ein Zummer Upgrade gewährt wird, was ich dann tatsächlich auch erhalten habe.

Belle adresse

Localisation parfaite, face au lace et à côté du château d'Ouchy, les possibilités de visite et de promenade sont nombreuses.
A noter une bouche de métro à une centaine de mètres qui amène directement à la gare de Lausanne.

Chambre spacieuse et agréable, un restaurant italien est présent... nécessité de réserver à l'avance car vite pris d'assaut !

Nota 1 : Petite déjeuner buffet à 34 CHF
Nota 2 : Parking souterrain pas possible de réserver à l'avance, "premier arrivé premier servi" nous a-t-on dit. Néanmoins, il semble y avoir des places de parking en nombre suffisant pour les clients de l'hôtel.
