Every dish I had there (soup, lobster thermidor, pavlova) were wonderfully made.
However, as good as the lobster was, I don’t think it merited £45—it wasn’t even a particularly large lobster.

The staff was very friendly and professional. The bartender (I was sitting at the bar) gave me pretty helpful advice when I asked for recommended mains.
My starter came very fast. However, my lobster took 20+ to arrive (after my starter was cleared away), which was rather longer than I’d like.
During the wait, I also requested to add on a side of spinach along with my main, but that got forgotten.

It was a chic and clean place. A little cramped for my liking. The bathroom looked very clean but smelled bad (of some strong cleaning product?)
We arrived as they were opening in the evening, they have a great value set menu available until 1830 (only £29 for three course), two of us had the set menu and two of us had a la carte so we could try as many dishes as possible.
Everything we had was delicious, I especially enjoyed the Shellfish and Fish soup, served with cheese, a delicious rouille and crispy croutons.
Shetland Mussels were excellent, as was the Goan Monkfish curry (although I didn't like the dhal served with it)
Basque Cheesecake with Mandarin Jam was a nice surprise, I eat far too many of these in Spain and this was up there with the best of them.
Staff were friendly and service was excellent.
Will definitely return next time I'm in Edinburgh.
The Buffalo oysters are amazing and the Turbot was melt in the mouth.
Wine list was good and I stayed with what I know and ordered the NZ Sauv Blanc.
Will definitely return when in Edinburgh.
I had friends from England up for the Rugby on Saturday. They suggested Ondine.
Great I thought I love it there.

Squid tempura. With Vietnamese dipping sauce.
Buffalo oysters were to die for. Full meaty oysters.
Every thing was on point for both meals.
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
However, the waiter did make me a very nice mock tail.
