I went to visit a good friend at this Days Inn by Wyndham in Lake Charles, LA.
I had been to this location years ago, and I was quite impressed with all of the changes that have happened there.
First, the rooms have been remodeled and seemed to have been updated fairly recently. The room was clean and ready for a guest. There were 3 pillows for each queen-size bed, freshly-cleaned sheets on each bed and a clean sheet covering the bedspread, which was greatly appreciated. The bathroom and sink are a was white tile, and I we found no hair in the bathtub or sink. There were plenty of towels available for use upon our arrival. There was an iron, ironing board, wall-mounted hangers, one-cup coffee maker with 2 coffee pods and a tea pod (unfamiliar maker, and I did not attempt to drink. We are Community Coffee fans, and with this Days Inn being located in Cajun Country in Southwest Louisiana, we were hoping that they would offer Community Coffee to their guests.) There were also other amenities available. There was a disk, rolling chair, large cabinet with microwave, and above that was a large screen TV.
The parking leaves a lot to be desired. Lack of parking, by far, the biggest problem.
Also, the curtains in the room do not fully cover the light that shines into the windows at night. They are way too short. And do not fit snugly against the window, leaving almost a foot of space between the window / wall and the curtain. It was more of an annoyance than an issue. But it's very unusual for this to be the case in hotels / motels anywhere.
Had issues connected to the Wi-Fi, it would have to go outside the room to use any electronics that needed a signal.
Other than that, I was impressed with the renovations, cleanliness, and the staff were extremely friendly.
The location is actually not that bad, other than the parking lot being weirdly configured. If you pass up a spot. There's no way to get back to it unless you pull back out, go a mile around I-10 again, back into the parking lot at the beginning. It is one way.

Good basic hotel off freeway

100% filthy. Never staying in the dump again. What a mistake. I booked online and can't get money back. Stains on sheets in two different rooms...wish I could post pictures.

I thought the service was real good! The hotel had a lot of bad reviews, but, I was throughly satisfied with the staff & the service. Be sure to check out Steamboat Bills Seafood restaurant next store. The food was awsome, and the prices good too!

2 beds on 1st floor for 2 adults and 1 child. Arrived in the evening and easily located this property. It was well lit, clean and free of loitering. Room was clean. The heater worked great!!! They're was only one complaint to be made, curtains are too short and the outdoor breezeway lights were showing thru when it was time to sleep. If I were ever to be in Lake Charles, LA I would certainly try to stay here again.

Way to close to the road

The room was really nice, and spacious. It felt clean it smelled good, and everything was in working order. I was grossed out by some long black hairs from prior guest seemingly every where I looked (on the bed, in the tub, on the remote). The checkin staff was wonderful, and front desk staff were friendly. I was secretly annoyed when we were prepping to leave because the cleaning staff were hovering around our door, even though we still had an hour and a half left before checkout.

The room is nice however the Phillipino girl at the front desk seems like she has no idea what’s going on…. I’m not sure how she even got this job I asked for a room on the first floor she lied and said there were none the proceeded to give one to a white guy…. I asked for assistance and every time she seemed clueless… She almost made me ask for my money back so I can go somewhere else.

Best thing about this place is location. The night clerk when I checked in was fairly nice, but the morning clerk when I checked out was rather rude. There was virtually no breakfast to speak of. The juice was extremely watered down in the coffee tasted sour. My room was filthy and obviously had not been vacuum for quite some time.

First room had bed bugs along with stains over the light switch, sheets, and pillow. It looked like they had crushed bugs on the walls and bed along with ashe stains over most of the pillows. Also among the stains some unknown stains covering the TV that I do not want to know what it might be. Second room had more stained sheets and pillows, black mold in refrigerator and covering the lower part of the sink, was massive amount of snot and boogers. Besides being a absolute health code nightmare,I do not see how this is ever something someone should stay in. I did not stay and left to go to another hotel. If wondering rooms 204 & 205.

C’est à peu près propre et confortable

Par contre le petit-déjeuner on ne peut pas du tout appeler ça un petit dej. Plus de café disponible, que des gaufres et muffin emballés dans du plastique.
Du jus de pomme ou orange ultra sucré.
Bref ne prenez pas le petit-déjeuner

Pas contre pour couper pour une nuit la route a pas cher ça passe

Rooms beds were awesome, room clean, direct TV is great. Two restaurants right there.
