The museum has something for everyone – architectural plans, artistic wooden carvings or metal sculptures, rooms explaining hinduism or buddhism, or the history of Patan. I really enjoyed seeing and learning about the wooden carvings. By far the best of the three Darbar squares in Kathmandu Valley, really peaceful, serene, and also educational.

A must visit museum in lalitpur. The ticket price is Rupees 15 for students (must have a valid ID card) and Rupees 30 for nepalese nationals. The place is quiet and really nice.

I have been here multiple time and Patan Museum was and is always very beautiful.
Evenings would be the best time to visit. You can see all the history of Patan over the years along with the unique little bahals and passeways in the once palace.
Then towards the end you can take numerous pictures in the gorgeous chaurs they have. It also a heaven if you love architecture in general.
The staff there were pretty friendly and showed us around when we asked about the place.
You can enjoy the history of Patan, beautiful architecture and beautiful pictures all at under NPR 100.
