HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS BELGRADE CITY

We have just been here for the Balkanic tour programm. Our guide brung us at 3 o'clock in hotel. Unfortunately our room had not prepare. We had to wait for half hour. And we had to quarrel our guide for this reason. I don't advice definitely.

Stayed for 6 days. Clean room, friendly service, stable internet, and 20 min walk from city center. Breakfast was not bad.

Positives

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel has been really busy from day 1. We were cheated by the taxi driver during drop off and he charged us 9000 amount in local currency. Reception staff (red hairs - sorry for forgetting the name) was kind enough and explained us to differentiate and figure out the actual taxis. She also helped us with the city map, places to visit etc etc.

We had booked a king bedroom where in a twin bed room was allotted. We called and requested reception to change our room.. they did it same time and a specially abled room was offered as it was spacious and we had our 3 year old child with us.

We had requested for a late checkout until 2 pm.. and immediately they said it was okay. Truly appreciate this

Negatives

Bathroom shower pressure is super high and it is really unbearable . I’m not exaggerating.. which made it very difficult for us to use shower for our kid specially.

Breakfast buffet-
Coffee at breakfast was just milk .. no flavour at all.
Toaster was there only on day one which didn’t work properly and next day onward.. it was not at the buffet.

Coffee machine had one dispenser with coffee beans and another with chocolate powder.. since the coffee had no taste.. I thought to have mocha or hot chocolate..one day there was a staff in white shirt.. I asked him if I can make mocha or hot chocolate.. he said machine doesn’t make it.. but he can make it from inside and bring. I was really thankful and he did it really well. Today, on the day of our check out.. I asked one staff if they can help with a hot chocolate.. she was so rude as and goes like.. NO we don’t have. So I explained her one of her colleagues had done it 2 days back. She called two of her colleagues and they starting talking to each other in their language laud enough for me to feel like a fool for requesting something. We could have paid if they asked.

Fair enough..

Our room was interconnecting. Someone from the other room, opened the door and came in our room last night at around 9 pm or so ???? I was like ????

Yesterday, I thought to try one of their blueberry cake from buffet that my husband said tasted good.. my bad in my very first attempt to eat .. it had a hair in it. As expected.. no one was passing by the table or paying any attention. So I kept it to myself ????
