I absolutely loved this place. I’ve been to MANY hostels in my life but it was the first one where staff told me when I was leaving: “it was nice meeting you!”
They brand themselves as family ran business I don’t know if they are family but definitely you could feel the aura of friendship, kindness and welcoming.
The beds are attached to the wall so there is no issue with people going over or under your bed.
The place is clean and smells nice.
In the reception they also sell some cool sneakers.
All was more than great ????!

I’ve booked 1 night initially - I stayed 1 week.
Cons:
The only thing is missed was kitchen to cook - there is only microwave and kettle to heat up the water.
It is not hostel dependent - there are bars and restaurants outside if you’re staying in the room by the main road prepare for very loud Friday / Saturday nights… and I mean reallyyyyyyy loud.

Olà, estou a escrever este comentário em meu nome e em nome do meu amiga! Depois de alguns dias na nossa estadia no Invictus Hostel! Antes de mais gostaríamos de agradecer exclusivamente à Philipa ❤️???????? e seu companheiro (esqueci-me do nome ????) ADORAMOS ficar lá várias noites pois trataram-nos de forma fantástica em todos os momentos, ajudando-nos com as malas, super atenciosos a dar-nos um quarto, muito simpáticos e a procurar o melhor para nós. Uma das razões pelas quais não queríamos sair do Porto é o facto de termos sido tão bem tratados. Quando voltarmos, o que tenho a certeza que será em breve, ficaremos lá todas as noites! Despachem-se porque os quartos estão a esgotar! Um grande abraço a toda a equipa de Espanha, temos saudades vossas! ❤️❤️❤️

雖然我們是住青旅，成年人也應該要遵守秩序和禮貌行為。
Lockers are extremely small and the "lock" itself is almost laughable, but theres a feeling of safety unusual for hostels in general. The "family" takes good care of the space!
It's located in a very lively neighborhood, with bars and restaurants all around. Nightlife is buzzing at your doorstep! Not recommended for light sleepers or early risers.
An overall great experience! My best days in Portugal were here...
Definitely would recommend it to a friend. Also right in the center of Proto so very practical.
Was worried about the bedbug reviews but it's actually one of the cleanest hostels I've been to.
Es gibt eine Küche allerdings ohne Herd. Nur eine Mikrowelle.
Wäre cool gewesen z.B. einen Elektro-Herdplatte in der Küche zu haben.
Lage ist sehr zentral, damit ist vieles leicht erreichbar. Insgesamt eine gute erste Bleibe für mich gewesen.
Posso dizer com certeza que minha experiência no hostel foi uma das melhores que já tive. Agradeço a toda a equipe pela hospitalidade e pelo excelente serviço prestado. Recomendo a todos os viajantes que buscam uma estadia confortável, amigável e divertida. Com certeza voltarei em breve!

Got bitten by bed bugs at this place.
The hostel is expensive considering it is very basic. Not uncomfortable but old building, bathroom etc. Lot of noise from the bars around but ok with earplugs and to go out in Porto it’s well-located. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
Accueil chaleureux et chambre propre mais nous venions ici pour dormir paisiblement, ce qui n'a pas été le cas. Chambre double sans porte pour les wc (sympa quand on est à 2), literie aussi vielle que l'immeuble, fenêtre et cloisons aussi efficaces que des feuilles de papiers. Ne comptez pas dormir tranquillement avant 4/5h du matin.

EDIT: These "angels" had the nerve to call out my critique as lies, I leave here the print from a Job offer to their hostel where they state as a requirement: EXPERIENCE IN CLEANING for a recepcionist position. So, they are much worse than I previously stated. Watch out where you stay.
Just awful for workers.
It's the recepcionist who is in charge of cleaning. Welcome to Portugal!
