KASSANDRA BAY HOTEL

Loved our week at Kassandra Bay, the staff were fantastic, attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Thanks so much for a relaxing week in Skiathos.

Tip: Bring euros to get the bus or a taxi to Skiathos town. Contactless is widely available for purchases that aren't transport. From Kassandra Bay the taxis are 9/10 euro.

Accessibility: There are lifts as well as steps to the rooms, reception, spa and pools. There is accessible access to the beach however it is partially steep and can be slippery when wet.

I noticed some comments about the first arrival to Kassandra Bay, I'm not sure what the challenge was. Once the bus dropped us off we followed the entrance road to the right passing under a small bridge, continued right for 5 seconds and then reached a small car park with access to the reception where we checked in.

Food: we booked to have breakfast which is buffet style from 8-11. Timewise I was thrilled because I don't like to be up too early on my holiday. There's fresh fruit, cakes, hot breakfast items like eggs, mushrooms etc. Make sure to try the Greek coffee! We mostly ate bar food during the day, I recommend the chicken wings. There is a small beachside restaurant RADA that serves simple but very tasty food, we ate in and took away.

Shops: there isn't a shop in walking distance unless you are up for a 2km walk there. If you are up for that walk, good for you but the paths are thin or not there at all so it may not be the safest option.

Transport: The buses are really regular that go to small shops and supermarkets or you can get a water taxi to Skiathos town. Price wise it's about 2.50 for the bus and 3.50 for the water taxi with good service times. We opted taxis when we did go to Skiathos town and the reception can order that for you. Keep in mind there are only about 20 taxis in peak season (June - August) around this there are less so there may be a wait. Be patient though it's only a short 8/10 minute journey and you're on holidays. There is a taxi rank at the pier area which is highly visible and has shade and benches. There is no specified wait time so again have patience, once a taxi is free they automatically go back to the rank.

Day trips: can be booked privately on trip advisor or with a holiday provider, we used TUI and our rep was Meggie who was great. She provided an induction and was available throughout our stay.

Location and beach are great. Very picturesque place. Beach boys are great too. Staff in the restaurant is exceptional.
However, reception service needs to improve a lot. Lots of misunderstandings and pretty relaxed approach, some of the staff are not really interested genuinely.
Cleaning service is good but there is still an unpleasant smell from the sink and toilette. Not to mention that the bathroom window opens directly to common corridor and foil on it was broken.
Also, very wierd solution for bathroom doors which you can not close and no privacy while using bathroom and toilette.
No cattle in the room, so needed to ask for it and coffee, so you need to pay extra which was not expected from 5 star hotel.

Bellissimo hotel che si affaccia sulla spiaggia di Vassilias, comodo come base per vistare le altre spiagge decisamente migliori.

Συνήθως σε μια αξιολόγηση ξεκινάς με τον χώρο που βρίσκεσαι , όμως αξίζει να ξεκινήσω από τους ανθρώπους που εργάζονται σε αυτό!
Όλοι μα όλοι οι εργαζόμενοι απίστευτα ευγενικοί ,επαγγελματίες στην δουλειά τους και πρόθυμοι να σε εξυπηρετήσουν σε οποιοδήποτε απορία η βοήθεια χρειαστείς ! Μόνο για αυτό θα έβαζα πέντε αστέρια!
Το ξενοδοχείο βρίσκεται σε εκπληκτικό σημείο με δικη του παραλία και βρίσκεσαι σε λίγα λεπτά στο κέντρο, οι εγκατάστασεις παρά πολύ καθαρές ! Το φαγητό στα εστιατόρια όπως και all day snack πολύ γευστικά και σε μεγάλες ποσότητες ,το πρωινό φανταστικό ! Τα δωμάτια ευρύχωρα και πολύ καθαρά. Οι πισίνες πολύ καθαρές επίσης!

Praticamente tutto bene. Bella la location e belle le camere. Ottima la prima colazione. Personale gentile e professionale. Belle le piscine e la spiaggia. Assai consigliato.
